    Guides have their place. However, letting noobs mess up is also part of the learning process into becoming better players. You have to let new players develop intuition to adjust to new and different situations. Good players will be curious on how to improve. Bad players will just be apathetic. That will not change.

    Playing on old PvP servers is where I got my introduction to watching my back during the vanilla WoW days. Made how I naturally played there and XI leaps and bounds more attentive than the average. Guild/LS leaders always commented how quickly I always responded to (potential) pats/adds during fights, so we could have a small prep time to handle it. Older now and got out of a lot of the more hardcore play, but old habits still stick with me (e.g. spinning the camera quickly to check surroundings mid-fight).
