OP's concept looks way too cartoony, imo. One of the things I like about this game is that an effort is made for the characters, PCs and NPCs alike, to look like they could be real people, the animals could be real animals, etc, etc.

Additionally, I just don't see a point to it. We already have Moogles in the game - why do we need another type of Moogle? Just so that we can have Moogles that players can play as? Imo, if you're gonna make Moogles a playable race, they should be designed for that purpose from the ground up.

While I, too, find it unlikely that Padjal will ever be a player race, there's nothing about the lore that makes it impossible. As has been noted in numerous other threads, if the devs decide they want a Padjal race, they can easily do so without breaking any established lore - and it all basically boils down to: "The elementals are mysterious, so just about anything the devs decide they can or can't do can be handwaved."

Panicky Elemental: Ocrap, the forest is in danger, what do we do???
Head Elemental: The answer is clear - flood the world with Padjal adventurers!
*The very next day, not just Hyur from specific families, not just Hyur in general, but individuals from all spoken races start growing horns! Padjal Rogadyn! Padjal Lalafell! Padjal Au Ra with EVEN MORE HORNS!!! Everywhere! Protecting the forest from all across Eorzea!*
E-Sumi-Yan: ...huh. I suddenly feel kind of redundant...
