Essentially, it is a rendition of "humanoid Moogles". It's a strange idea, but I think it actually looks really good!

Granted, Moogles in FFXIV have a super distinct style, and I love how they look! But still, these little guys look awesome, too, and despite being someone firmly in the camp of preferring "manly races", I would totally be down for something like this.

If we want to be specific, the Miqo´te are not considered "furry" (as they are not covered in fur) and are instead based on the Japanese/Korean fantasy/folklore of the Kemonomimi (Literally translates to Animal/Beast Ears).

Tell that to the hundreds of so-called furries who don't walk around in giant fur suits but just with tails and cat ears. Or anime's like Spice and Wolf with the "furry girl". And I'm pretty sure the term "furry" was used in the subcultural sense as in those who like to pose or show interest in anthropomorphic characters or share attributes to animals as humans. Cat-People count. :/

Then that's hundreds of people that don't know what they're talking about. Whether they like it or not; technically speaking, they are not furry nor are Miqo'te. /shrug
