The Padjal aren't a different race than Hyurs who do not age, and they are born from specific Hyur bloodlines (very rare). Having it as a playable race would be stupid since it's basically the same thing as Hyur children and it being supposedly very rare wouldn't fit with the fact that all players can be one.

Like Norleas said, Padjals ARE Hyurs. It's in the actual lore. It's just specific and very rare bloodlines that can born Padjals who are just Hyurs, but without any aging process, they stay in that child-like state and just have little horns to differentiate them from normal Hyur children.

Anyway, they shouldn't be playable in any way, shape or form since they are supposed to be very rare. I rather see a more original race like golems or espers, heck, even Viera would be more original than Padjals.

Ah, I stand corrected. Yet on that topic, Yoshi himself said the Viera would be too similar to the Miqote (which is bs looking at the recent concept art), so adding a Padjal which is a straight up hyur with a permanent summoners headpiece would make him a hypocrite. :/

I think that they have some issues when it comes to reproducing the original artworks into the game. The first artworks of female Au Ra was leagues away from what we got in game, they weren't really looking like Hyurs with horns and scales like they do now, they really were succubus, demon-looking, they also were taller and had more curves. I guess that if they decide to ever implement Viera, they're not gonna look like the artwork either, and will be another Hyur+animal ripoff but this time with a bunny.

It's because what you are shown in the concept art is nothing like what you would recieve in game. You would in fact receive Miqo'te 2.0.

Any new race needs to force them to break the mould. I don't care if armours need to be specifically be made to fit, I don't care if it requires some more time and effort, it needs to be done. Viera doesn't offer this and can easily be fit into the arbitary mould SE has made for themselves (which is hyur with animal bits attached).
