Hey, it helps me stand in light and glory.. In Idyllshire
Only if they remove weekly lockouts, else it is just a time sink. And in this case it's actually doable, because if you killed it once in a static, there are no issues to kill it again.

Do your trials/roulette's faster? >.> I mean sure one can say doing the savage fights are fun and the reward is whatever..but what is it's use...really?

You know what the typical responds will be it for the next raid teir that comes out after few months and the hamster wheel keeps spinning. /sighFurther begs the question..due to lack of horizontal content..what does a ilv245 weapon help you do? In other games I've played you get the high reward to tackle other, equally hard or harder stuff with your guild/LS/Clan or whatever..but this game has none of that. And trials can be easily done with a standard 230 weapon or whatever..
See there is much more issues here heh
Yeah of course, no lockouts at all for every content in the game. Lockouts are there cause there's nothing to do in game. Lack of true content is real.
Yeah i'm pretty much done with this game myself. Has nothing new to offer but the same old grind. I can't even make anymore friends in this cus they all have left because of the same reasons the OP said. I called it at release of 2.0 that the game wasn't complex enough to keep players interested in playing for long periods. Patches didn't have enough content cus players we're clearing it too fast cus it wasn't complex enough.
Its quite clear that they aren't working on the patches on the game as much as they should be, but instead investing all their man power on working on getting the next expansion pack out each year. Most of there fans come from XI and they basically toss them to the side. (We stayed around 1.0 so you guys would still have jobs to make ARR.)

And honestly, FFXIV 1.0 had the art and the music on its side, at least, which we both lost in ARR (few tracks such Dragonsong by Uematsu aside).

I can't believe I just read that. And I know I said I wasn't going to reply, but I'll exit and just leave this here for you guys that apparently don't recall 1.0.

I feel the same as you I predicted this long time ago and made some posts on forum saying that this game didn't have enough content but new players couldn't understand because they were still leveling up and that was keeping them busy.Yeah i'm pretty much done with this game myself. I see a lot of people leaving the game and very few of them actually stay, of all the people I invited in my FC a lot of them quit and never came back to the game because it wasn't pulling their interest or wasn't fun enough.
I agree but also don't think Uematsu is the kinda guy that would slave over the music remix table for each patch of the game. I do think they should get Uematsu to make more tracks though for the game. I think they aren't because they want the young guy to have a music career & maybe there is some kinda music rights ownership on how they are selling the music discs.
Sigh..you never give up do you? 1.x was a fun game.. aside from the bad server lag/coding it was not that bad and was getting fun.I can't believe I just read that. And I know I said I wasn't going to reply, but I'll exit and just leave this here for you guys that apparently don't recall 1.0.

1.0 YES that was launched with nothing..but when Yoshida took over and Tanaka was still at SE advising stuff and they had the XI dev team..1.23 was a lovely game. I myself started playing 1.0 launch...there was nothing to do so I stopped playing. When I saw the Ifrit patch I thought it looked amazing..1.19, I came back and was having fun every day till the servers went down.
Then 2.0 launched and I see they totally changed the battle system, all my hard earned relic stats were gone, and worst of all my earring from Van Darnus fight was garbage. That was the day nearly all my 1.x friends quit. They went back to XI and have been there ever since.
I agree..I am in the same spot. Like I mentioned in another thread..my main account is only subbed because my friends are paying for it and I am helping them fill a raid spot for now. I can't bring myself to continue to support this game which offers the same old system, same patches reskinned.Yeah i'm pretty much done with this game myself. All my 1.x friends left so... ._.

FFXIV 1.0 went out extremely quickly cause of Wada who is, luckily, gone.I can't believe I just read that. And I know I said I wasn't going to reply, but I'll exit and just leave this here for you guys that apparently don't recall 1.0.

Terrible servers and the PS3-oriented UI interface aside, I'd never trade 1.0 for ARR. FFXIV 1.0 was the spiritual successor of FFXI everyone been part of that game was waiting for, with one of the greatest OST ever, killed by the server lag and the CEO itself. The feeling of adventure the game had, the feeling of battle and the overall quality gap between 1.0 and ARR is just too huge.
All the people do in ARR is glamour, there's no point for the rest. And yes I am a raider in A8S. I keep raiding because it's the very small hardcore side of the game which gives us basically almost zero rewards.
