I'm no expert on BST but from the description it seems like it was a take on the Tamer from FF5, basically the poke ball master, Im not too sure how it would get implemented in xiv but i can definately see use for a whip as a weapon for the job uh oh ogre battle beastmasters used whips too....hmmm
