I have low ish 680 or so ss on my smn because I have 1,1k crit instead which is better for my dot snapshoting + Df etc etc

If I wanted to switch to my blm I'd have awful SS and mixed up stats, so I will never play my blm.

For the opener DWT, you will likely only ever be able to do 1 Fester without losing potency in between. However, for every DWT afterwards, Yes, you do want two Festers under DWT.

I may be alone on this opinion but I do not like using AF under DWT outside of the one in the opener either.

So outside of the opener, do most people hold/time their AF stacks so that you have 3 again the next time you enter DWT? If that's the conventional method to maximizing DPS in the general rotation, I've been missing out quite a bit.

I generally wait on entering DWT until after I have been able to refresh Aetherflow. If you enter before, you could potentially delay your next cycle if the Aetherflow cooldown comes up while you are in DWT. If you want to spend Aetherflow while in DWT, then you kindof have to do that.

I'm not a big fan of using Festers in DWT, however, especially if you use two. It really puts you on a very tight schedule with your AT stacks. You lose a TON of DPS if your stacks drop. Not worth it to squeeze another 30 potency IMHO.

Yeah, that's the thing... I really want to play both, but the secondary stats are different enough to the point where I don't want to spend a lot of gil re-melding. I guess technically, going SMN for crit gear is better than going BLM for SS, but it's a really hard decision. I find them both fun, too... and my BLM just hit 58.

Then just go: CRIT>SS>DET
Determination is only slightly better than spellspeed, however for a blm that would be one of the two possible BIS, while not hurting SMN so much.

Oh you're right, I didn't really notice the marginal difference between DET and SS for SMN. Ok, that makes it a lot easier.

I'd like to check if there is a possibility to cast more that 6x ruin 3 during DWT.

6 is the most we can manage with current gear. Have managed 7 with the Arrow, though...

I have a question (sorry if this is explained in the first post I didn't see) has summoner changed in anyway since 3.2? Are the openers on the first page still good do you still hold onto stacks for DWT and if you how long do you hold them for?

They are still good, I use 2 F 1 PF but if i need to get into dwt as fast as possible it's 1 f 1 pf 1 ed , there is certain times will you will want to get inside dwt quicker (nin buff, drg crit buff etc) if no buffs are rolling you can do 2 fester 1 pf which is a stronger but takes a few seconds to ramp up.

Hi I've been doing savage and I dk if my rotation/opener is the most optimal one. I notice that my numbers are a lil low in comparison to other smns.
My opener goes: Bio II / Miasma / Bio / Swift. + fester + shadow flare / Rouse + Spur / Ruin II + Enkindle / Ruin III / RS + pain flare + fester / Ruin II + EF / Trance / Tri D / Contagion / Ruin III / Ruin III / Ruin II / fester / Ruin III spam / DF/ Shadow flare. Then I keep dots up and do doubl fester when I cast DT. I try to time all my DTs with Tri D.
Also I currently use Baked Pipira for raiding but I was wondering if I should switch to other food like Staff. My stats are 977 crit / 499 det / SS 771
