Its not a rumor, Triary and another rep stated that you would be bonuses (dunno where they apply though) if you complete quests with members of other companies. Was also in Reinhart's translation thread.

My bad, didn't see this thread.
Ok let me lay out how ambiguous the "greater rewards" term is.
1 sword is a greater reward than 0 swords.
10k gil is a greater reward than 10 gil.
5 grade 5 DM is a greater reward than 3 grade 5 DM.
1 spear and 1 bow is a greater reward than 1 spear.
3000 company seals is greater than 1000 company seals.
10k exp is a greater reward than 5k exp.
You see where I am going, people jumping to conclusions could completly mess their game up what if the greater reward is weapon drops, its harsh but if you dont think that you may never get ifrit gear and the only option is a re-roll and you loose 1 years work, or you may have to leave your ls if they want single GC runs in which case you could be loosing friends you have made over the last year. I for one will not commit to a specific GC until this is clarified.
Because of this we NEED a response before the patch Bayhone or Rukkiri save us from this speculation and potentially making the wrong choice.
Very dumb move by SE.
Expect to see this alot:
"LFM Ifrit fight, IF GC only thnx!"
I understand the concept, and the concept is cool, if there wasn't a massive population imbalance present in the game coupled with low server population. Rethink implementing this concept for a later patch, not hard you do it for everything else.

Please also note these are NOT the final patch notes. Come patch day we will see the finished ones.
Perhaps they could mean that you get better quest reward if all members hold the same company mission rather than the chest rewards.
That could be a possibility too.
This is why.Well why do people all join uldah? Because everyone has the mind set of "Uldah is the best place to be" (Airships and Anima beg to differ), honestly Uldah is fine to have as a merchant hub, but its the players that are combining merchant with everything else in this game.

There are myriad reasons why and they all self-reinforce each other.

My Threads: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/s...vBForum_Thread
This reminds me of FFXIV beta times... "guys, this is just beta, on release day all the laggy menus will be gone!"
Anyway, I really don't care if they decide to implement it so that if mixed GC group gets moko grass and all from the same GC get rank 60 legendaries, this is a huge exageration of course but my point is all I want is to know ahead of time so I can decide my GC accordingly ^^
