Honestly its not going to be a big deal. You're still going to get the legendary weapons regardless. I still say people should just go with whatever company they want.

Like i guess your speculating, as I said before 1 sword is a greater reward than 0 swords, therefore the gear can fall into this. If you just blindly join one you could regret it, do you really want to have to reroll because you cant find a group in the same company?

Well if you cant get anything decent because you chose the wrong company, then you have no choice, quit or just do nothing, the trend could also continue in other patches to make it worse.

Ul'dah is the best for one simple reason: it has the best, easiest and fastest to navigate layout of all the cities. It's by FAR the easiest city to get in and out of; you have to run for 30 seconds or more to hit the field in either other city! In Ul'Dah, it's as little as 5 seconds.

This is a non issue, with chocobo's you are instantly transported outside the city.

It's precisely this "we want to do this" (decentralize Ul'dah, let people freely choose their companies) but end up doing that (materia remover in Ul'dah only, better rewards with all people in the same companies) that causes me to doubt wether they can REALLY get their act together.

As much as i disagree with this idea, I am curious to see how it plays out. Everyone seems to think everyone will flock to one GC, which may happen, but is uldah even going to be as important with instant travel to citys? I for one am going to stick with Twin Adders, and if i have to group up with other adders to get the best loot....so be it.

As for linkshells this move kind of sucks, but i could see same GC LS popping up in the near future.....

Although i think this move may be rough for low pop servers :\

This is a combination of Appealing to Extremes and a Slippery Slope argument. Both are fallacies.

You have no data that shows that you 'can't get anything decent' because of this. But that doesn't stop you from projecting even further harm from potential patches later on. There's no logical validity to such an argument.
