Ul dah became the most populated city because it's in the middle, the story brings you there eventually, and for a very long time the leves were extremely exploitable and stupid fast XP. Personal preference had nothing to do with it, although I personally like it the best.

When everyone from same company you get bonus as well as when you have 3 different countries grand company members

I'm sure we're overreacting, but its the not knowing that drives me crazy. Why be vague. I understand the vagueness is sometimes to keep the story secret and the spoilers minimized but for something like this?? Just TELL us.

Question: I've noticed a lot of you saying that you really, really don't want to join the Immortal Flames, but you worry you'll have to in order to get groups. Even if this is the case (and I really hope it's just gil/seals/DM/whatever), it seems like enough people are sick and tired of Uldah that you could convince your LS or your friends to all join a different one instead. I know if my LS leadership asked us all to join the same GC, I'd immediately say that the Immortal Flames can go die in a fire. >_>

Not saying this will work for everyone (it won't), but surely not everyone's in a hopeless situation. . .

You have said before that we shouldn't worry which GC we choose, however:

I cannot choose my GC "freely" knowing that I may be missing out on better loot or possibly exclusive loot from Ifrit by doing so.

Could you please explain what exactly is the "greater reward" from defeating Ifrit by members all of the same GC?

I am also a bit worried about this, cause I was going to go for Gridanias GC for the CNJ and PUG weapons and such + since I am from Norway, I absolutly love the forest more then a desert^^ Limsa Lominsa is also something I prefer with its coastal ocean looks. So having to pick Uldah and sacrifice my personal favorites, to not be shunned when people are making groups for Ifrit.

Hope the "bonuses" isnt that much worth from keeping people to choose their favorite GC^^

Ok let me lay out how ambiguous the "greater rewards" term is.

1 sword is a greater reward than 0 swords.
10k gil is a greater reward than 10 gil.
5 grade 5 DM is a greater reward than 3 grade 5 DM.
1 spear and 1 bow is a greater reward than 1 spear.
3000 company seals is greater than 1000 company seals.
10k exp is a greater reward than 5k exp.

You see where I am going, people jumping to conclusions could completly mess their game up what if the greater reward is weapon drops, its harsh but if you dont think that you may never get ifrit gear and the only option is a re-roll and you loose 1 years work, or you may have to leave your ls if they want single GC runs in which case you could be loosing friends you have made over the last year. I for one will not commit to a specific GC until this is clarified.

Because of this we NEED a response before the patch Bayhone or Rukkiri save us from this speculation and potentially making the wrong choice.
