1 Miss was a Ring of Thorns on Brawler adds. Another was on Swindler, my Chaos Thrust missed. Now, that Chaos Thrust attack could've been from the front, as you cast it as the MT is pulling Swindler to the back of the room. Because of how silly the Circle Orbs are, you're sometimes forced to attack from the front.

Same applies to Vortexer. During Fire Cannons, you're usually forced to attack from the front, so I'd definitely say that the Frontal Accuracy of 676+ would be safest.

Since my work schedule has kept me from being able to raid so far I'm personally aiming for this http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/TH4T Main reason that's what I aiming for is that it sets me up to transition into the set JackFross proposed and, except for the weapon, doesn't "waste tomes".

It'll let me still meet the 705 acc for when I'm able to start raiding and hopefully get to A8S, but my dream set is the one that JackFross proposed.

When looking at an A8S progression set, I try and maintain melds identical to what I'm using on my BiS, so I don't need to get additional g5 Materia. The only ones I'm /sort of/ willing to swap are accessories and the belt, since that's just 1, not 2, but even then, I'd rather not be spending millions of gil or hundreds of hours on re-outfitting gear once my pieces drop.

The set I'm working toward has a boatload of excess accuracy that gets cut down the second the chest drops, since my crafted chest is rocking 3 Acc 4 melds, and I have Acc melds in a few key 0 sks pieces that are also on the BiS set (namely the pants and hat). It's a little tricky, and makes me sad, since it's nearly impossible to maintain that beautiful 600-1000-600 without the two A8S drops.

It's WAY overstuffed with Accuracy, but swapping out the Accuracy becomes /easy/ the second either piece drops. It's hard to drop Acc from there, since every single piece you could do it on will give a huge chunk of additional Skill Speed. Either drop cuts a significant amount of Skill Speed out and allows you to pretty easily drop Acc for extra.

Why ilevel 230?

Because that set I listed is assuming you don't have access to any Midas Savage drops while still giving you ACC of 705 and only purchasing tome gear that will not be replaced by Midas Savage 240 gear per the set JackFross proposed; the weapon being the only exception for obvious reasons. Because the 230 tome gear upgraded to 240 tome gear will have the same stat spreads, albeit just the 240 having higher values, my goal is to slowly increase my ilvl by upgrading the tome gear to their 240 equivalents as I'm able to start raiding again and replace the 220 pieces with Midas Savage 240 gear pieces as I attain them.

Its not a super min-max progression gear set for sure but for economic thriftiness, i.e. tome spending/split between other classes or limited access to crafted gear w/ full melds, it feels like a fairly solid progression path into the full 240 set that JackFross proposed that should also allow steady ilvl growth to meet DPS requirements for Midas Savage progression. You'll end up with a bit more ACC as the 230 gear grows into 240, but assuming you're terribly unlucky and somehow end up at A8S with zero Midas Savage drops you'd at least meet the currently accepted ACC requirement.

I slightly modified the gear set link I linked earlier to try and better describe what I personally am intending to do in terms of gear progression. Essentially jump from the 220/230 gear pieces into the 240 pieces with materia slotted as I get those 240 pieces on this: http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/THSW .

I will mention. There may well be a possibility that the Accuracy requirements are lower than 705. I remember back in T5, 472 accuracy was the value spread around, but it eventually turned out that 465 was the accuracy value for T5, as no one fully tested it.

705 accuracy was just a single value where multiple people have confirmed, not to miss anything.

It could potentially be that 696 value I've seen, or even 700.

Oh most definitely that is for sure the case. The 705 ACC value definitely has a giant Asterisk attached to it until otherwise disproved. Thankfully a number of the top-end gear sets utilize ACC melds that can be converted to either DET or CRIT should it be discovered that ACC can actually be lower than 705 for consistent results. Naturally the ACC melds can't be swapped out if you already melded it but I hope the point got across. xP

This isn't a DRG related question, but hoping fellow raiders can help me out.. The 2 big orbs on Brawler.. You only need to stun/heavy one of them right? My ppl are trying to stun lock 1 and heavy the other but it doesn't seem to be working. To me it makes more sense to just slow one of them up.

That's what I've seen other groups doing. The whole point being to give you a breather between the aoes.

If you're Stun Locking one, and putting mass slows on the other, they will come in at the same time. My Group Slows + Stun Locks one, and only throws 1 stun onto the other. This would make it so the single stun comes after the 2nd ability of Brawler (In case it's a tank buster or AOE Stack) and the 2nd one will come in 5 seconds later.
