Since my work schedule has kept me from being able to raid so far I'm personally aiming for this http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/TH4T Main reason that's what I aiming for is that it sets me up to transition into the set JackFross proposed and, except for the weapon, doesn't "waste tomes".

It'll let me still meet the 705 acc for when I'm able to start raiding and hopefully get to A8S, but my dream set is the one that JackFross proposed.

Why ilevel 230?

Because that set I listed is assuming you don't have access to any Midas Savage drops while still giving you ACC of 705 and only purchasing tome gear that will not be replaced by Midas Savage 240 gear per the set JackFross proposed; the weapon being the only exception for obvious reasons. Because the 230 tome gear upgraded to 240 tome gear will have the same stat spreads, albeit just the 240 having higher values, my goal is to slowly increase my ilvl by upgrading the tome gear to their 240 equivalents as I'm able to start raiding again and replace the 220 pieces with Midas Savage 240 gear pieces as I attain them.

Its not a super min-max progression gear set for sure but for economic thriftiness, i.e. tome spending/split between other classes or limited access to crafted gear w/ full melds, it feels like a fairly solid progression path into the full 240 set that JackFross proposed that should also allow steady ilvl growth to meet DPS requirements for Midas Savage progression. You'll end up with a bit more ACC as the 230 gear grows into 240, but assuming you're terribly unlucky and somehow end up at A8S with zero Midas Savage drops you'd at least meet the currently accepted ACC requirement.

I slightly modified the gear set link I linked earlier to try and better describe what I personally am intending to do in terms of gear progression. Essentially jump from the 220/230 gear pieces into the 240 pieces with materia slotted as I get those 240 pieces on this: http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/THSW .
