I actually agree with this.Yeah it's the same debate over and over.
wonders if Yoshi-P will take a stand somehow, someday.. when not picking the questions he wants to answer and skip the rest..
For me:
Tanks: Tank first, DPS if aggro is secured.
Healers:Heal first, then DPS when the party is secured.
DPS: Dodge first so healers don't have to cover your behind when it could have been avoided, don't get aggro (check your bar as well as healer and tanks and switch target if close to) then DPS properly (not maxed, but at least trying)
Hope they'll fix the mechanics or DPS demands. Fending accessory feels useless yet this is what drops for Tanks now.
Can't wait 3.2!
Le sigh, people will someday realise that by giving advice in an insulting manner (yes calling people bots is insulting) you don't tend to get the desired result. It's called people skills but for some reason the sort of people who start threads like these completely lack them.
There is no hard content in the game that forces you to be fast besides high end content. So nobody gets their training. Typical MMO I would say.
MMOs these days, do not have things like Everquest's Contested Content, where you challenge other groups for nameds/experience/drops. You have to race to get the prize, or have it taken away from you by a faster group.
No, instances give you 90 minutes (when the run takes 25-30) to let you be as slow as you want and does not challenge you at all.
If taken as a list of where to place your job's job priority, then yeah, I agree 100%. This is how most of the friends I play with play and the runs are always fast and smooth.Tanks: Tank first, DPS if aggro is secured.
Healers:Heal first, then DPS when the party is secured.
DPS: Dodge first so healers don't have to cover your behind when it could have been avoided, don't get aggro (check your bar as well as healer and tanks and switch target if close to) then DPS properly (not maxed, but at least trying)
Also, I thought the OP was completely justified and polite, and did nothing wrong by raising the question the way they did. The BLM had a bad attitude about it right off the bat, which was unnecessary. All that had to be said if they didn't wish to use Enochain was "Let's just have a leisurely run" or something to that effect. The only reason the OP got kicked was because the tank was a fellow FC member and they were looking not to have any friction in the party. I just didn't comment way back on the first page when I first read the topic.

Actually, just saing. If a dps is doing high eminity is because his DD is really high and thet are probably doing an exelent job. Is the tank's job to secure that dps dont steal the aggro.Yeah it's the same debate over and over.

I myself found BLM/ DRG that were terrifing, downing the bosses really fast.
But appart from that, I totaly agree with you.
I always play tank for the most part I see a lot of dps most of them do low dps and make the dungeons take like 45-60 min on average. Just from what I seen about half of blms don't use enochian some don't even have it because they didn't do the 3.0 job quests. There is nothing you can really do about it. When I play I just want to get the dungeon done.
Yep. People can play however they want, and they will not be punished. Your people skills were completely lacking in your "critique", however bad that BLM was playing. Unfortunately for you, OP, your foul language will probably result in a temp ban on these forums, and I highly recommend editing that picture to not have curse words in it (it is probably too late though.)
I agree, yet Enochian sucks hardcore. Enough for me to completely quit playing my BLM after I got it to 60. Way to ruin the fun SE.
