imo the guy is just trying to help, but maybe he's not going at it in the best way.

if he had said "hey I noticed you might not be performing as efficient as you could be, I might be able to help with that" then he might not have come across as an arrogant elitist know it all, but he took it upon himself to think the OP needed help and is also stalking the OP which is not a good thing.
