We can all do something to improve, so you shouldn't feel bad about having room to get better. Just find someone who doesn't make you feel like crap. Feel free to ignore those people who do and if they keep bugging you talk to a GM.

3.1 can't come soon enough.
These threads will surely abate then.

Let's get down to business
To defeat the checks
Did they send me BRDS when I asked for BLMs?
You're the saddest bunch I ever met
But you can bet before we're through
Mister, I'll train a man out of you
Tranquil as a parser
But on fire II within
Once you learn your stances
You are sure to win
You're a spineless, pale, pathetic lot
And you haven't got a clue
Somehow I'll train a man out of you
Honestly by saying that it broke your heart you're being a bit melodramatic. You probably shouldn't take your skill as a bard so seriously unless you actually are trying to become a top tier player and if you are then you're doing a bad job at it if you're not willing to take advice and criticism. That being said unless you're actually running hard content where you're holding the group back then he's butting his head in where it doesn't belong unless you specifically asked for help. If you were holding a group back in harder content though then he still shouldn't have done that since the pretty standard procedure is to tell someone that they need to get better at their job, kick them, find a replacement, and drop the subject entirely after that.
This kind of attitude isn't good either, the guy was in the wrong and sounds like kind of a dumbass, but you can almost always get better and thinking like this does nothing but breed mediocrity, especially if you have any higher aspirations like raiding.

Mysterious as the wait times of the queue.
Okay so I was skim reading the thread and actually missed this. It basically just sounds like he's a dumbass who wants to be more social and talk to people and is just really bad at it. He probably thinks he's being impressive, as well as helping you without realizing how he's coming across. I also thought that you had basically just gotten the one tell then made this thread so I was being a bit harsh as well in my post.

No where in the post did the OP say that. The OP is just thin skinned and is delusional for thinking having a lvl 60 and high enough ilvl = good at the class.
Honestly it doesn't matter if someone is good or not, if I got approached by some random person and they said "hey you suck want me to help you out?" the first thing I would be like is "have we ever even partied before?"
I really don't think this is something to just go up to random strangers and talk to them about.. it's sort of rude. I'd probably tell them to go away, thanks for your criticism and opinion, but no I don't want your help.

Clearly, the best Final Fantasy character is Locke Cole.
Glamour is TRUE ENDGAME

Not sure but if someone did that to me I may consider it harassment, but maybe not.
