Dude... just forget about this idiot.... if you think you are bad or something like that now... trade some experiences with other bards that you know ^.^
e.g. : someone told me on 2.X that I was a Bad Summoner with the lowerest DPS on the party... I felt bad and then my friends asked me why I wasn't playing with my summoner anymore. in the end they cheered me up and my friends started training with me ( we were doing trials and trying to kill the boss as fast as we can and I gained my confidence on playing with summoner back.
so just forget about this idiot... and if you doubt about yourself you will be bad... just be confident and you will be fine ^.^

What others have said /blacklist and focus on the fun aspects of why you play. If you aren't having fun you're doing it wrong. If you want to actually improve have some friends help you out. Otherwise enjoy the game. Don't let others make you feel bad for playing a game.

He's probably just trying to help you but presenting it in a bad way, otherwise he wouldn't offer to take the time out to help teach you.

Take him up on his offer and see what he has to say, there are a lot of weird tricks to classes that you can't really figure out without a parser and theres nothing wrong with upping your game.

Maybe read this guide first though, I doubt he has a better rotation than this anyway.

Theres nothing wrong with using a parser as long as you keep it amongst friends and out of the public eye. You don't necessarily need to use a parser to tell if someone is playing well or not though, if it's your own class it's usually pretty easy to spot a flawed rotation.

As I am seeing it, it's not the desire to help that is the issue (certainly not what I would take issue to) but the approach. As a teacher, I can tell you there's a huge difference between, "I'm going to teach you whether you like it or not", and "Let me help you to deepen your understanding about things." First and foremost... you can't force knowledge on someone who doesn't want it and coming at it aggressively like that only serves to put people off.

I can agree with that, however, that attitude on the person being "put off" is why we have SO MANY bad players in this game. No one wants to improve, even if they are approached "correctly" they get instantly offended, and spout the typical "I PLAY HOW I WANT, ITS MY SUB! HERP DERP!"
