Am I the only one fed up with DPS obsession?

Back in my day, healing challenge was solo healing ten people in a raid with stupid high raidwide incoming damage with only single target spells because your other healer bit the dust and you didn't have a druid.

While the tank was getting rekt.

We didn't have time to dps. We didn't have the mana to dps.

Even further back, we timed slipping out of combat for MP regen for a tick or two.

To be fair that resulted in some stupid stuff sometimes.
I remember in wow on certain bosses you basically had 1 healer group healing while the other was regening mana.
