Dps have more interesting rotations/mechanics to compensate and I don't just mean with combat either. Many fights in casual dungeons give mechanics to DPS where I heard it was the opposite in other mmos.
Tanks and healers just have to do tanking and healing in casual dungeons, dps usually get some kind of mechanic at least because SE are deluded by the community into thinking healing and tanking is so much harder that they need to avoid giving them mechanics in casual dungeons even though we should be competent enough to deal with new and interesting challenges post 50.

Honestly, this is why I love playing white mage. Even in normal dungeons you always have interesting decisions to make:
When is the right time to stop healing and go into cleric stance?
How long can I do damage until I have to switch back to healing?
How can I maximize my DPS while keeping Tank and Party up and alive?
White mage is a class that can be the most relaxing job of all, if you just stick to pure healing.
But if you try to do damage as well, it is one of the most demanding and interesting Jobs in the game, it's your choice.
And I have really no problem with that being a requirement for Alex Savage.
PS: Same goes, naturally, for Scholar and Astro.![]()

Allein sitzen, allein ruhen, allein gehen. Indem er sich selbst zähmt, wird er glücklich allein - allein im Wald.

Absolutely.
I think a DPS who never pops a defensive cooldown, an oGCD free heal such as second wind or bloodbath, or never uses party aiding buffs such as mantra and eye for an eye to be just as bland as the healer who refuses to dps and the tank who feels his job is exclusively to hold agro.
But as is very prevalent in this game, a lot of things the DPS classes do are hidden in a protected veil, while the tank and healer classes are more open to criticism, so generally, nobody sees or cares that most DPS don't use 2/3 of their abilities.

Because with more DPS, theres less raid damage. Which means less healing.
Higher dps (unless you push phases early) is really the only way content gets easier.
You fail to understand who savage is for. The people that push for world first WILL find a way to dps and play there class above anything the devs can throw at them. Unless they literally made it so healers and tanks had absolutely disgustingly bad dps then these group will find away to add even more dps to clear faster. Which happens to be the end game raiding scenes meta. Groups coming in after them with not need the level of dps the tanks and healers had to put out to clear. These fights are tuned with this in mind. You don't think some people actually find savage hard enough? You know how many actually beat A4 total since it's release? If adding dps isn't your thing that's fine savage isn't for all of us. But to basically say the only way to make things better is refusing these players the ability to dps in nearly every fight is selfish. When it's only needed in 4 fights UNTIL we are at its gear level or higher...
And to focus on this point nearly every fight has mechanics like this....but it's only really interesting till you understand how the fight works and it's flow. Things like garuda ex. Titan swaps before over gearing. Ifrit swaps. Levi adds and healijg debuff. Ramuh swaps as well as the mechanics requireing everyone to be on the ball. Shiva swaps and her placement.Positioning in t9. T6 swaps. t7 adds. t1 boss. t10 adds placement. Swaps and rotation of adds in t11. T12 Bennu placement as well as movement in 3rd phase. Not even mentioning the new tanking mechanics in savage Alexander where's your point exactly? They've always been there people just learned how to do them more effectively or simply out geared then if they couldn't.
