So, we know hawk's eye is a bigger DPS boost than b4b, but does anyone have detailed math on how dex converts into damage? I'd heard before that it was about a .5% damage increase for every point of dex, which would make hawk's eye a 7.5% damage increase, but that was just an approximation and it's clearly an underestimate.
Hawk's Eye increases damage by 15% for me.So, we know hawk's eye is a bigger DPS boost than b4b, but does anyone have detailed math on how dex converts into damage? 17 Critical Hit Rate * 0.140 = 2.38 (tentative value)Tentative Stat Weights (3.01)
w/ GB
WD - 10.71
Dexterity - 1.000
Determination - 0.125
Critical Hit Rate - 0.140
Skill Speed - 0.020
58 Skill Speed * 0.020 = 1.16 (tentative value)
To be honest, I don't need to do this maths...Crit beats pretty hard SS currently.
That's why it's better Gordian Hood Of Aiming than Machinist's Goggles.
But Machinist's Goggles look awesome.

Hi everyone!
Just curious if anyone can tell me how damage is for MCH. I had read some bad things but they look fun. I like to be able to fork out some good damage.
How far behind other dps is MCH?
Thanks!

Whatever you have read is likely from when the job came out, people did not know how to use it and were quick to call the job out. We have found optimal rotations over time and SE raised our GB damage boost to 30%. MCH and BRD for the most part do the same amount of DPS and both of those jobs do a good enough job keeping up with the other jobs. Both are ultimately support style DPS, so they are going to do a little less damage than completely dedicated DPS, but they definitely do enough to push phases.
Basically, both MCH and BRD are heavily desired in parties and are not turned away in party finders if that is what you are wondering.
That value for SKS is outdated and most likely down incorrectly. I highly doubt SKS comes out to be a .020 weight.Source

Thank you for the response. Since I don't run with meters I guess I just want to make sure I will be able to kill at a good pace. I love kiting and a MCH seems like it can do that a bitWhatever you have read is likely from when the job came out, people did not know how to use it and were quick to call the job out. Starting to think SkS might be higher than Det right now due to Wildfire and the 3.05 opener so we can eke in a Split shot or two after the final Clean shot in the opener.
