Am I the only one fed up with DPS obsession?

I don't understand, how did the topic turn into "taking away difficulty"?

Because DPS Obsession brings up DPS checks which = difficulty until you get the gear to meet it or up your game in general. Removal of DPS check makes content easier sooo the topic shifts? Natural progression.
