I'm not a big fan of the system in place now but I'm a bit puzzled that you're so upset about this. They increased the level cap and released an expansion. Everything became obsolete, more or less. Anyone who cleared t13 and had BiS or did the last stage of relic had their progress erased too. I'm surprised you thought crafters and gatherers should be exempt from this.
