(Speaking as a miner). If people are hitting the dirt, pushing as many nodes as possible, one red script equates to almost 10 stacks of mixed materials (probably closer to 2-3 on hidden items).

    My money is on that being the -point- of the current favor implementation; To support this huge material sink that the collectible system requires.

    That being said, Favors are ridiculous and cutting down the time while maintaining the reward is a good thing.

    I tried this, but the 1 - 2 seconds it takes to move / click the "hidden" spot will cost you about 1 minute in time overall out of 15 minutes. When I go all Crystals I average more nodes per Favor = more Favor mats. It might be easier on a PC but on the PS4 it costs time.

    Most of the materials on the nodes are worthless. Doubly so for botany. On top of that most of the useful materials are hidden and as such only appear at 1/3 the rate of normal items.

    Reguardless of what anyone chooses to farm or not. The worst of all our problems is the massive number of hours it takes to get these stupid materials. Its such a large amount of time, intermediary gathers aren't even attempting to gather them. Its too large an investment for them to see the use. Only hard core gathers are bothering and as Jade pointed out there are only a few on our server.

    Understand what SE did? I've mentioned it several times but fundamentally they took ALL that collected time gearing, regearing, turning in for master books AND RESET IT so they didn't have to develop any recipes (which is why you have 20 people selling the same gear now, since there is virtually no way to profit on this stuff anymore.) They took *all* gather/craft progression and RESET it; you did all your master books and kept up with new gear for each ARR patch? SE says SCREW YOU, ...we have no recipes so go spend your days gathering crap to trade in for ingredients and maybe in 6 months we'll re address the system and see if we can provide you with your reward (items to sell?)

    I am so shocked that people don't get this, they didn't make a mistake, they reset the entire system. I stopped crafting. Soon i may just cancel cause I have nothing to do (unless I adhere to their crafting reset and installed crafting dictator aka the spendor vendor.) I mean of all the repulsive things to do, they took all the time anyone spent getting to the status of master crafter and reset it...

    We knew a reset was coming. That's not the problem. The problem is the new system removed raid drops, switched material progression to gathers but then removed gather created gear. The combination tanked the economy because someone was TRYING to fix problems but made things 10x worse because of lack of foresight.

    I'm surprised you think it's similar i have a level 60 Dragoon and Warrior, the gear I used was replaced with tomes and drops those COMBAT jobs are now functioning; the crafting gear is not. to replace that gear .... we must have all gatherers at 60, we must have all crafts at 60, we must gather virtually all day, first to get scrips then to use them, then to turn them in, then to craft 1 part of 8/8 crafters 3/3 gatherers. A bit different yes?
