Having a really hard time selling any HQ i170 gear...

I've been working on the 2 star gear for a few weeks now with great success. About 15 finished items made, all HQ.

However... none of it's selling. I've sold 3 pieces and a few mats and the rest I've carefully made so that I can use it myself in the event that some of it doesn't sell, focusing on MH and OH items and a few others so that I have a variety of things to sell as well.

I've been advertising in party finder and shouting in a variety of cities for weeks and have literally received only 2-3 pms for any of the stuff, only one of which purchased an item. The market boards are dead too, with only about half of the i170 crafted gear having ever sold, and of those items, only 1 or 2 of each at that.

I'm not charging rediculous prices either... even now, after the favor update the HQ mats go for about 2.5-3m a pop, and so for the final items I charge about 11 mil for an offhand and 14m for a main hand considering those cost about 8 to 11 mil to make. It's not like I'm trying to get 50 mil like some of the other guys on the mb.

I know that some of this comes from there being really no use for any of the new crafted gear but I'm still frustrated and needed to vent. I worked my ass off to get ot this point and the demand is just so absurdly low it's annoying. I'm making more on petty items for 150-250k a pop.

I really hope 3.1 adds something meaningful so that the things I'm working my ass off to make require the i170 crafted gear... in the mean time, I'll continue to make things I can use in the event it doesn't sell.

They screwed up the economy and use/need for the two star gear so badly. Its like the intentionally planned to wreck things. There are so many things wrong economically with the design its not funny.

I'm having a hard time selling anything recently, honestly...my server is pretty high population as well, I'm not sure if lots of people just gave up on crafting or what, but even level 50+ materials take forever to sell on the MB.

I'm on Sargatanas too and quite frankly neither I, nor any of my FC or other friends will ever be able to cough up that kind of money for gear. Prices, while they may not be gaining you crafters much profit, are light years beyond what the majority of players can afford.

Some of the i170 stuff is selling, it just takes 4-5 days per piece. I sold the GSM MH last night for 15m and a BSM OH for 12m a few days before. It moves but very, very, very slowly. This thread was specific to the i170 crafts, I didn't say I couldn't make money.

I'm doing 2-3m a day on petty crafts but it's annoying the imbalance and lack of appeal of the items made by the servers best equipped crafters. I as well as many others in the same boat are just frustrating that the end game crafting scene isn't quite as lucrative as it should be considering the time investment in both time and money to get to that point.

In time, demand will rise as favor mats drop and the final crafts are more reasonably priced. Perhaps 3.1 will introduce more desire for these items with more difficult recipes but we'll see.

Wait until crafts come out that require the gear.

"Oh crap, you geared LTW in 180 gear but you need the glue that ALC makes to make anything with LTW? Better start gearing your ALC, you know you could buy the MH off the MB and save yourself a week or two."

Right now no one needs the gear so its not gonna sell. When people actually need the gear, it will sell. Just like when favors were 15 Mins long and only like 5 people on my server did those, now they are a lot better and the Ooid, Landborne, Leafborne, Seaborne, Folklore node market is booming. Give it time, you are so far ahead of the game you gotta wait for the game to catch up.
