This entire argument is silly. The old event items on the cash store do not impact the gameplay in any way, so why does it matter?

Say a movie theater offers a special t-shirt for free to anyone who come to watch a movie on a certain day, and only for that day. The following week they start selling the t-shirt to people who come to watch a movie. This is the same concept.

Does the free t-shirt impact the way you watch a movie? The vast majority would agree with me in saying it does not. Does offering to sell the t-shirt to people who missed the day to get it for free impact the way you watch a movie? Again, the vast majority would agree with me in saying it does not. This is the same concept that is being employed here.
It's fluff. Fluff not needed to enjoy the game. The fact that there are complaints about it just makes it all reek of entitled self-righteousness that borderlines on neurotic.

Now, if they start selling access to certain jobs or instant-leveling tickets, THEN we can reopen this discussion.
