You could have rose tinted glasses on though, there have always been those who would not only never ask for help, but lose it when advice was given, be it in a a helpful manner or not.I remember a time when players helped new players learn the game, learn to be better, didn't need a program to tell you how to play, you figured that out on your own and with help from the community. DPS parsers are fine, but they are not an automatic win. Still shouldn't get tunnel vision, or forget bad players are only bad because other's in the community are not pausing to help out their fellow gamer.
So if stop being shit at the game is a thing, then stop being shit at helping out your fellow players. We are all part of this community don't make this place a crap hole.
Yeah I ignore those types, but I started in Ragnarok Online, it was decent enough then it filled slowly with asshats.. I'm more in hopes we get enough decent people to help that those who refuse to learn, want to be carried will just get drowned out by our helpfulness. Also no doubt I has the rose tinted glasses I tend to only remember the good things from places :O

You reminded me of what a wise puppet once said Crude language and puppets Warning
There is no such thing as a list of poor performing players the whole community checks. The worst you get is that the people you failed because you couldn't pull your weight won't invite you again which is completely in their right.Consider the following: "Darn, my pug couldn't complete the raid. I'll post up a PF next time and try again" Now compare that to: "The community put me on a list of poor performing players, and I cant form a party that will succeed in x content.". The former would seriously make me want to quit this game and unsub.
It's this kind of paranoia that prevents from useful tools being implemented and having people to restore to terms of violation if they want to see stats.
I don't even know where ideas like this come from.
Have you ever thought that a player that is not performing as the game demands is actually the real toxic in the group.
It's a poison that straight up hinders you from completing what game demands. But no, let's call the people doing their work toxic which is actually very hypocritical.
The ironic about FF14 everything's about the DPS yet you can't measure it.
I hope we can have more variety in mechanic not just DPS.

I have known plenty of players who quit because they were stuck in pug life and were unable to get anything done. Clearly they are not as important as the players who keep on frustrating pugs and make others want to quit.
Yeah, even with the lamest of DPS, I'm sure as a PLD your 200 DPS is better than any other crappy DPS out there.
That's a strong comparison. Just wanted to pull this sentence out because I found it a bit funny lol.
Also waiting for a the Yoshida "Git Gud" pic, probably missed it around here somewhere. x;
