I just wish the mount would have been account bound...not character, I hate my 1.0 character :'(

Legacy player here. On vacation when the Gobbue was abavilabe and I missed out on it. Couldn't care less.
Vanity items are true end game. Where have you been?
No in fact I was just telling the other person that looking down on people just because the weren't 1.0 players and saying that 2.0 caters to a "mouthbreather" community was a shitty attitude and then I got offtopic from that about what constitutes grind and mindnumbing grind and tried to refocus on the fact they had a shitty attitude.I'm sorry but am I the only one who thinks every post you've made so far sounds something along the lines of "whine, cry, pretend to be better than legacy players"? There were a few like you on the 2.0 beta forums which is why we actually found you a theme song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQ_eBTkB-rs give it a listen. *retreats to her little corner*
I don't think I am better then legacy players but I do look down on people with a shitty attitude.
Because we can't get everything, I guess.
I would personally love to have the Legacy Chocobo as its description states it's your bird from 1.0 and I had grinded to get my Chocobo whistle back then (I guess that means my bird died? q_q), buuut it's not happening. Isn't the Sylph one a reskin anyway? Pretty sure Goobbue isn't taller than Laurel Goobbue.
I would buy it. Your cheaper legacy subscription is thanks enough, stop being greedy.
Do you actually mean that?
Do you really and earnestly think that the people who bothered to get these limited items, to stick with 1.0, even into subscription, are being greedy because they'd like these special items to remain special is greedy? That these symbols of appreciation should be made readily available to all because you want the same mount with a carpet in place of a crown?
Greed is the intense and selfish desire for something. How exactly would you qualify your own want?
I think Goobue's are silly looking mounts, so I don't care one way or another. What I do care about is the idea of rewarding Legacy players over and over again for sticking with the game (a game which was free to play for a *very* long time because of the issues it had).NO.
Come on, I'm not even a Legacy player and I'd love me that goobbue as bad as anyone but this would be the worst thing. The people who earned it did so by playing a game that was absolute garbage. Let them wear it as a badge of honor for suffering through 1.0, as they do their tattoos and scorched chocobos.
Simply put, it was likely many of these players who loved the original incarnation of FFXIV who also stood in the way of feedback to change/improve the game back during beta (when that feedback was needed the most). Back then you couldn't make a complaint about FFXIV without its biggest fans coming at you with torch, pitchfork, and a whole lot of trolling. In the end they were the ones left with the game because they had helped chased everyone else off, and in the process contributing to the disaster that it was.
But, by all means, keep patting them on the back. :P
I don't think you understand... No1 liked 1.0. The sheer amount of fanboyism, white knighting, and absurd defense arguments during 1.0 was staggering!! It puts the console war to shame. I truly believe there are people that would buy a box filled with dogshit if you put a final fantasy logo on it.Simply put, it was likely many of these players who loved the original incarnation of FFXIV who also stood in the way of feedback to change/improve the game back during beta (when that feedback was needed the most).
