SMN poorly implemented

carbuncle is pretty much is non existent after level 30, not sure I really like the way SE designed the SMN class. In FF11 there were so many summons you could use, compared to FF14 its sad. And it what made it even worse was no new summons in the expansion.

Ugh... Another one of these. Just because the class isn't what you what, doesn't meant it isn't what it should be. Do egis look dumb? Yes, but they are still powerful to contribute 1/3 of a good smns dps. Also, FFXI didn't launch with so many avatars. It took several expansions. It's also not like you used all your avatars. From what everyone had said, it seemed you simply used about 2 for serious group content. And look at the game, it was so unbalanced between classes. So instead, SE is balancing all the classes we currently have. So yes, you had like 15, but exactly how many did you use? As it stands most SMNS don't use ifrit, and Titan is mostly useless outside of soloing content, so they made the "better" choice of balancing the pets. It's not as though they don't plan on giving us more. But if their plan is to give us a bunch of egis, but we all only use one, I'd rather they just stayed with the 3 we currently have.

At this point might as well called the jon envoker or Channelers, something along those lines. It sure is not a summoner in my eyes.

You do realize that in FFIII, SMN is just an advanced form of evoker?
