    SMN poorly implemented

    carbuncle is pretty much is non existent after level 30, not sure I really like the way SE designed the SMN class. In FF11 there were so many summons you could use, compared to FF14 its sad. And it what made it even worse was no new summons in the expansion. Summons is the core of the job, whats the point of adding more skills unrelated to your egi? Instead they should have added more powerful summons that have a CD and timer when summoned, thats how this job was meant to be played. Most of the damage should come from the pet, and the abilities should have synergy with it, such as rouse, and enkindle. WTF are all these new direct dmg spells, SMN should not play like a BLM.

    Do you have other things to say that "SMN should be like I want and not what it is !" ?

    And partially summoning Bahamut is not really a BLM ability, but just saying...

    At this point might as well called the jon envoker or Channelers, something along those lines. It sure is not a summoner in my eyes.

    Who manages their pet anymore, once its summoned? just leave it on auto pilot.
    Not every pet should have DPS based abilities, thats not how it was in FF11.
    Titan could have an AOE stoneskin for example.
    I'm merely stating that SMN has moved away from its "SUMMONING" focus, and has just become another mage type dps class.

    SE did a poor job on the Summoner in A Realm Reborn because they made it a DoT class with a Pet and poor aetherflow mechanics leaving them with no way to maintain dps after burning through 3 aetherflow stacks. In Heavensward they turned the Summoner into an Evoker where it channels Primals and use their abilities which is how it shouldve worked from the beggining. The problem with the Summoner is according to the overall story we should already be able to summon Primals using incarnate summoning since they are nothing more than shades wearing the appearnce of the original entity. Also the according the the lore the Primal themselve are nothing more than fakes since they are just a massive collection of Aether given form through Hydaelyn by the imagination of the believer. I think SE should create Real Gods for Summoners to summon as oppose to the Primals. Personnaly I'd like Summoner to get the ability to summon Hydealyn.

    So, basically, you want to rework the lore of the game to fit in with your desires? The 2.0 lore of the summoners explicitly stated they summoned the egis. The other thing you're referring to was only hinted at during the end of 2.X and only revealed in 3.X. It wouldn't have made sense for us to do that because we didn't know about it. Also, it's not fully clear what the primals are. Yes, it's strongly suggested they are the product of fervent belief and crystals, but that doesn't that's all there is.

    Why would I want a healing pet if I'm a DPS ? The Scholar exists for that...

    Who manage their pets ? uhm...let me see...good SMNs maybe ? If you don't manage it, you're just plain bad and you should stop being a SMN.

    Our SUMMONS, yes they are summons, do 20% or more of our DPS, it's a lot. Try not using your pet and see if you don't need your pet to do damages.

    And yes I did play FFXI, and god I don't want to return to the SMN of this game, I don't want to be a sub-WHM, thanks
