It makes sense to outline the new large changes to the classes, so people know what to expect. But new damage cooldowns, like I mentioned, don't really do that, so they're probably not worthy of mention.
I actually reckon, of the 2 new combos, you could pretty easily do 123 > new DoT combo > 123 > new DPS or DoT combo. Especially with the new NIN aggro dump.
PLD aggro is plentiful enough, especially after the opener.

It is for now, but everyone except the tanks are confirmed getting more potency per second of aggro. They pull ahead like crazy now, but I wouldn't be surprised to see more DPS in the xpac having to actually use Quelling, Elusive, and the new NIN ability more often. Probably not multiple times per fight or anything, but I still think the aggro lead tanks have now will shrink a bit.
We could very well get 10 or something abilities, but I think it's wise to not expect it... The expansion is soon out, and people have already played the game and experiencing how the job is going to be at 60, for them to add 4-5 more abilities on top of that is possible, but doubtful.
Not saying there could be no other abilities, but don't think it's that many, and all jobs doesn't have to have the same amount of abilities either.
5-6 abilities is enough to create problems with space for a lot of jobs. I don't know exactly where to place those 6 we know of without making the hotbars a clusterf*ck... and not to mention keybinding them all. If they add 4 more on top of that, well...
Again, it's possible, but expecting it will probably just make you disappointed in the end.

True...
I just hope we get some more concrete info before the patch notes, which is probably coming right before we can play the game. I would just leave all speculation alone if I wasn't so bored in the game currently, and it feels like forever until Heavensward comes out, even though it's not.
We've got a translation from one of the Japanese articles, and we could maybe take some of it as more reliable than what we have heard from the English sources...
Full translation
Look at the Monk part:
Monk
First, a new action called [[JP: Embu, direct translation is something like "martial arts demonstration"]] has been added to change from one form to another. This might be a little confusing, so to give a specific example, there might be some situations where you are trying to avoid enemy attacks and Greased Lightning wears off, but if you're using this action to change forms without attacking, it would be easier to maintain Greased Lightning.
I'm happy to report that this is on the same recast timer as weaponskills and the GCD. By the way, when no form is applied, Opo-opo Form is granted when this is used. In other words, you can go straight into Opo-opo Form at the beginning of combat and apply the additional effect from Dragon Kick immediately. Since only the form changes, even if you use the new action while in Coeurl Form, it won't have any effect on Greased Lightning.
Another new action is the buff known as "Chakra." This has the feeling of "Focus" or "Accumulate" from monk earlier in the series where the buff can be built up to V. At Chakra V, two abilities become available which consume the stacks: "Purify" [[maybe "Purification," based on JP equivalent and past FF series use]] with a TP recovery effect and "Forbidden Chakra" [[direct translation is something like "Yin and Yang Chakra Attack"]] which is a weaponskill that deals high damage. Additionally, another weapon skill that deals very high damage by consuming Greased Lightning III has been added [["Tornado Kick"]], and monks have also received a long-awaited ranged technique (with quite a cool animation), so it feels like a lot will change.
They don't mention Chakra having same recast timer as weaponskills, even though they did for the stance change... But then again, they say that both Tornado Kick and Forbidden Chakra are weaponskills, which by definition would put them on the GCD, which they really can't be if you look at the job video.
What really is interesting in this is, "and monks have also received a long-awaited ranged technique (with quite a cool animation), so it feels like a lot will change.". That's either something new, or Elixir Drive is some kind of ranged AoE, which sounds totally awesome, but doesn't really fit into the descriptions we have got of how it looks. You will do a back flip and cast a beam like attack in the middle of the flip(head towards the ground), and it reach across the room.... hmm...
Sorry for just adding to the speculations![]()
