That's why I used "may", we don't know more than what they let us see. We can only guess. Though the point is: cheer up OP!Doubt it and in fact until they fix it i hope they don't add more ninjutsu. just pretty laughable yes we can add more raiton what he means is most people can add more fuma shuriken to their rotation.(btw i'm a person who has almost no mudra lag. but they need to do something about it for the rest.)
The positional additions don't bother me, but I am seriously wanting at least one new jutsu. Otherwise I am in agreement that there is no real updateto NIN in the expansion.
Ban Tracker 3.0
Me: 1/1
Bot/RMT: 0/200
I weep for laggy Ninjas.
We get a new skill in our rotation that extends Huton. I'm insanely happy about that. Are people really complaining about a DPS loss when we can effectively cut Huton out of our Ninjutsu rotation?
Enmity skill? I'd still rather just have Goad on myself and have Archer instead of Lancer as a subclass for Quelling Strikes, but this is still nice unless you play solely in a static I guess. Pretty weak thing to mention though. How about an update on being able to see party members TP instead? Bard has been waiting for that since 1.x...
Positional requirements? Don't see the fuss. I'd rather have positional requirements on Ninja, which gets a native movement speed buff, that on Dragoon which moves like a sack of potatoes. Ninjutsu already made Ninja unique anyway, most of the old Jobs are getting interesting unique mechanics because they didn't really have any, complaining that Ninja isn't when it's had its version from the start seems petty.
Can't really expect a new Ninjutsu given the current set up and lore (4th Mudra being OP/each Ninjutsu having multiple combinations/etc.), but perhaps they'll add another skill similar to Kassatsu which buffs the next one cast. Something which changes their effect could be a nice way to effectively give us more Ninjutsu. Could always have a skill which effectively just lets us spam Ninjutsu as well, something like Black Mages Enochian perhaps. I'd quite like something which removes the cooldown for a period of time, but with each Mudra cast the duration decreases; Fuma Shurikan spam!

Actually, reading the text again...
"we added an ability which adjust another party members enmity. Ninja’s specialty is to be able to deal large damage from the start of the battle, so this skill is in place to support the tank in a situation where the enmity becomes unstable."
It doesn't say anything about reducing enmity.. And it does mention specifically helping tanks.. Maybe it will be an ability that increases enmity for tanks.. Seems odd.. But just taken literally that's what it sounds like to me. NIN large amount of damage upfront is unrelated to another's (non-tank) enmity, ie you wouldn't reduce "another party members" enmity because NIN enmity is so high.. I bet it's just a buff for tanks, though would be nice if they clarified. Really it could be a useful ability, if the tanks get new combos, like PLD getting new dots, and this move increases their enmity gain, it may give them a chance to get their dots up and thereby help raid dps a bit.
And this is an excellent point I thought about but forgot in my semi-rant >.<

As other said I play the 3 melee DPS, and I use all of them for different reasons going from personal taste to FC needs, if I feel like dancing/high sustain dps I go MNK, if I like jumping and burning I will go DGN, if I just want to dps, don't mind much about positionals, debuff and such I go NIN.
And that's what I like about the 3 melee, each has it's own way of being played.
Now, if SE turns NIN into a MNK with daggers, why the hell would I play NIN? for the looks?
Since I'll have to dance, then I'll just play MNK with the perks of not having to worry about mundras or goading WAR or other melees.
"Perhaps"? "Could have"? Nalien, We have NOTHING showing thats what they DID! They in fact stated that NIN received the least amount of changes, so why should I hold out for anything they clearly didn't think was worth highlighting as a major change?

Now I'm kinda glad we have an entire month before real raiding actually opens up because I'm going to need that time to decide what I want to change to.
whats with the obsession people have with the movement speed buff if you suck at melee the movement speed buff won't help you you know. you sit on the edge of flank and rear please learn how to play melee(this isn't only for the person i quoted looking at you fist of wind needs changes thread)We get a new skill in our rotation that extends Huton.
