could care less about the positionals i play all 3 melee. If i wanted to play monk or dragoon i'd play those 2 give me a more technical melee not a 3rd positional melee.
This was clearly their attempt at putting their best foot forward for each class and drawing people in; their big announcement! And draw they did because almost every class now has a badass stance that allows them to unleash a new tier of hell. Except Ninja who will now look and feel a lot like the v2.X classes in comparison.
I am going to assume if there was any better news for the Ninja it would have been there in this video. Just to make the Ninja section somewhat less of a trainwreck.
People come to expansions in hopes of seeing their class evolve or gain new levels of badass and not to be told "hey everyone else got something but not you because that class is newer so you don't deserve anything good."
Being told that your getting minor QoL changes and an extra raiton in exchange for positional requirements on your total DPS, isn't what people were expecting or hoping for and so a lot of people are rightfully disappointed.
I think mudra lag will make a Ninja quit before new positional abilities.
I feel like they didn't do much to the Ninja's mechanics because it was already a pretty innovative class when you compare it to the classes we had at launch. The addition of the positional's seems like their answer to adding more diversity to the class; in the same way the changes to monk, bard, etc. add diversity and decision making.

Pretty much. I can imagine an extra mudra would make things more complicated than needed to be. I am sure there will be more to Ninja than what devs described (at that point, they sounded like they were rushing the live letter), we will just have to wait and see.I feel like they didn't do much to the Ninja's mechanics because it was already a pretty innovative class when you compare it to the classes we had at launch. We don't even know what these positionals will give us. Perhaps the positional benefit will just be the extension of huton and not a damage bonus. If that were the case, would that really be that big of a deal? You don't want to move? Ok, you just have to cast Huton with the same frequency that you already have been.
The positionals are going to be like just few more and will add a bonus, no need to do such a drama and if you listened they said they were not showing everything. It means there may be new ninjutsu as well.
Doubt it and in fact until they fix it i hope they don't add more ninjutsu. just pretty laughable yes we can add more raiton what he means is most people can add more fuma shuriken to their rotation.(btw i'm a person who has almost no mudra lag. but they need to do something about it for the rest.)

New Ninjutsu would be the first thing they'd show, since that would mean a large amount of move combinations.
Instead they were so lacking on nin improvements drawbacks were discussed. And I wouldn't be surprised if those positional ended up cutting deep into DPS. And for what, so we can all play the same!? Well I didn't see any new tricks to look forward to on that!

That's why I used "may", we don't know more than what they let us see. We can only guess. Though the point is: cheer up OP!Doubt it and in fact until they fix it i hope they don't add more ninjutsu. just pretty laughable yes we can add more raiton what he means is most people can add more fuma shuriken to their rotation.(btw i'm a person who has almost no mudra lag. but they need to do something about it for the rest.)
