melee LB supposed to work like that in Secure mode, as it uses the LB bar of the whole party. you're viewing things from your healer point of view and don't understand PvP in general. how can a healer be killed if melee LB doesn't do that much damage? newbie healers, maybe, but what about experienced healers?
Do you have any idea how powerful stealth is in PvP? Do you know anything?
Also, Stoneskin is extremely valuable in PvP and is required to be kept up on casters at all times but certainly not for the little bit of extra defense it provides...

Learn how not to make your argument based on one spell with a FIVE MINUTE COOLDOWN! And yes, when you're just over 3k health a melee can pretty much one shot you. But thank you for telling me what to do IF I survive.2 melee LBing two targets at the same time can kill 2 people, 2 mages LBing at the same time can kill parties from a safe distance. There's a lot more risk to a melee class, currently in slaughter there's a high risk low reward for melee while for casters it's a low risk high reward. The reason the casters are currently as strong as they are is due to standing in a big group of people being protected from melees, the only one able to counter a mage is a bard.
Also cast a stoneskin on you and have someone close that can stun, like a PLD and you'll be safe, as a melee I never cast LB on a full HP target as most of the time it is not enough, also as a healer if you're not killed in one shot you'll just heal yourself with benediction and the melee will be slaughtered, learn how to utilize your class and you'll see a difference.
So to sum it up, a melee LB is not OP because it requires:
1. the best heal in the game with a 5 minute cooldown
2. a bodyguard that does practically nothing but wait by me to stun ninja's coming out of stealth
3. at least 4 slots of vitality gear that is completely useless to me except for one stat.
Also, it takes one buffed Medica II to heal through a caster's LB. (FYI, Medica II does not have a 5 minute cooldown). I've seen people killed by server lag the last few days. But it's certainly not because the LB is that strong.

This! When i saw those patchnotes firstime i tought this would play slightly like those MOBA's with their buff monsters, too bad there is just one set of them in whole match and even that gets ingnored buy team A and C most of time. Ranged dont need to be nerfed or anything if we are forced to spread more often, current meta seems to be "screw the sides and frag in middle till it ends" most of the time and that gets boring really fast.
Mid combat is not overwhelming when you add a little organization and assignment allocating.
The problem is the content is new; base guidelines/assignments per party/player-role have not yet been written in stone, so people just run around dpsing at random hoping to just steal a kill here or there.
You clearly have never stepped in the Den, ever. There is a reason why its set to 1 RANGED and 1 melee dps. Melee OP,the delusion is too real. If melee LB one-shot people i would agree (a lil bit) but it does NOT. You don't need Stoneskin or Vit gear to survive, and you have more then enough time to heal yourself after a melee fails to kill you due to animation lock. Den was fairly exhausting. I had to run in a circle around a wall avoiding melee until the melee on my team killed their healer. I can assure you healers need vitality gear to survive. I'm not going to bother replying to the rest of that foolishness.
As a healer, I am the one being targeted by melee and caster DPS for the entire match. Melee hurt, interrupt everything, stun me, and have enough defense to avoid being peeled. Casters don't interrupt me, have cast times, easily peeled, and their LB's are marked on the freaking ground before they even hit.
