    In small groups, melee don't have to retreat when they're being focused. There is no way ranged can burst them down with the amount of interrupts they have to deal with. So melee have little to no threat. You said yourself that you get to "run around wild".

    Remember Secure? The melees swarm the casters until one of the team's casters/healers are dead. Then whoever has the last healer standing wins.

    if a mediocre melee can shut down and kill a blm then i'd say that blm is not very good at all.

    Have you ever wondered how Tanks feel when they have to 1v1 a caster. OR How melees feel when they have to 1v1 a spiked wall. All the tanks please get on the forums and complain about how you have no tools to catch a caster/range.

    Generally, Tanks beat Melee DPS, Melee DPS beat Caster/Range, Caster/Range beats Tanks in 1v1 (based off of advantageous) situations, obviously there are exceptions, but get over yourself lol. Too bad this a team game, eh? If only the casters getting completely shutdown and complaining had a good team (or skill). /sigh

    If only the melee crying for nerfs learned how to position and retreat instead of expecting to run around wild.

    And, I'm terribly sorry for you that mages still have the ability to root and escape. Perhaps they should nerf that too. Will that make tanks happy? I cannot believe that you guys equate a caster being able to root and runaway as "winning" against a melee. It's like SE should just put a "Kill Caster" button on your hotbar (oh wait they did! you have a personal LB now).

    Did you even read what I said, or posting just for the sake of posting against me?

    Casters beat TANKS, because they can kite them indefinitely whilst doing damage. Difference is, they aren't on here crying that range 'shut them down'.
    Tanks don't have melee adrenaline btw.

    You're a healer correct? Why are your casters dying to a lone melee adrenaline?

    In and effort to alleviate the tone of the forums, I recommend the use of the Ignore feature for individuals with whom you cannot see eye to eye with.

    There will always be individuals that you cannot fundamentally agree with, even on the most basic of principles. And there's no need to get worked up about the matter. Malcontent will typically result in self-removal from situations in which they are uncomfortable with when conversation cannot allow another to see from a different or even sometimes a conventional perspective.


    As far as complaining as a Tank. Magic damage really is pretty nasty to a Tank, thanks to increased vulnerability to magic. But the biggest issue I have with mages is the CC. While I have the ability to make myself immune to knockback for a brief period. But other than that it just takes a sleep or a bind to knock me out of being useful at all. But that's what healers are for. If they can't remove my debuffs, I can't protect them. And I'm the type of tank that will cover a person until I die to buy them time, so... it's kinda valuable to make it so I can help.

    A tank scared of a caster? Like I said why not just target them? I'm not sure how you are getting kited in this game. A single point of damage breaks any and all CC and you have purify for heavy. So what are you doing? Just auto-attack them. That's pretty much all you have to do.

    And now that I read your pros and cons (like a DoT spec having "absurdly high burst", huh?, a DoT spec... it's called cleansing) I realize I'm just wasting my time.

    I'm pretty sure the intention of this thread is to nerf casters. Not because they were buffed in anyway. But because now there's other melee between you and the casters and they are no longer free kills. So I'm here to try and stop this nonsense before mages get nerfed anymore.
