I think it also an assumption on many that think people who want this want it on easy mode more like a normal mode still has it bites in challenge, just less mechanics that's overly involved. Even though you might think its fine as it is yourself and other gamers, but for others gamer types they might disagree but since this is online game is why we have a clash of the Titan's >.> punt intended lol.
And yet no one here is asking to make it harder. Your point falls flat since plenty of people the difficulty as is and the way they slowly nerf old content. People wanting it easier aren't the only ones playing this game and it's a very small minority from my experiences. The biggest company I hear is the coil lock out. Not the difficulty.

I think Yoshi-P added a salvage coil to see if the hardcore players would bite, but since it didn't offer gear and the lockout was in place many didn't take the hook.
Most people aren't even asking for easy content. No one asked for older content to be nerfed every time new content is added. That's just what happens now with MMORPGs, and we were told it would happen before 2.0 released. It doesn't matter what your perspective is or my perspective is. I doubt a handful of people arguing about it on the forums is going to sway that decision.
I'll say this a third time... One thing is true: If you don't ease up old content, you discourage new people from ever buying the game because it'll be that much harder to catch up. If you wall off current players and leave them stuck 20 item levels behind everyone else, it can be heavily discouraging.
SCoB will be obsolete in a week. It already isn't a challenge for anyone who has it on farm (and a lot of those people only log on one day a week to coil anyway). Those players will be busy tackling FCoB and getting way better gear anyway. This is just how theme park games work.
It was never intended for everyone and they knew itwouldn't heavily adopted. So I'm not sure what your point is. I know a bunch of people balmung challenging them because was fun. However that doesn't have anything to do with nerfing old content.
They do this already via minor tweaks (ads paralyze), echo, and much stronger gear. So I guess you just ignore all of that.I'll say this a third time... No it won't be obsolete in a week. Many players who never tackled it can do it with their friends, people can gear their side classes, and until at least a month passes people still will have very little of the new gear. Obsolete is the first coil the months ago. This is still quite relevant for many people. Think outside of your box.SCoB will be obsolete in a week. SE isn't making it easier because people asked them to. It's something they planned to do with content since before ARR launched. Any time they talk about making coil easier they don't say "Lots of people asked us to do this", they say "The clear rates are unsatisfactory so we're going to add echo and make changes until the clear rates are where we'd like them to be".And yet no one here is asking to make it harder. Your logic is just flawed and now to the point of selfishness and being rude.
I will be a FF MMO subscriber as of the 28th for 11 years. XI NA release to XIV 1.0 alpha to current.
There have been deployments, RL priorities, etc where I couldn't play but still paid as I enjoyed the games and supported the ppl that made them.
Doesn't make me any less or more loyal of a fan than anyone else.
not sure what you want to point out here. I do not even care of taking part in this endless debate.
I just expressed what the hard numbers do. The majority of subs rule. If that majority wants something (or needs it to meet whatever objective the devs may have, for example 50% T5 clear when 3.0 comes. Number purely made out of thin air), then it will happen. No matter what people may think about it here and there.
