Enough of the whining. Its gonna happen whether you High horsed Raiders like it or not.

thankfully coil will simply end one day
I don't like the idea of nerfing old content, mostly because I think it gives newer players and the people who haven't cleared them yet a big disadvantage. At least from my personal experience, I feel that challenging the old content before the echo, starting from the original relic fights, progressing through Coil 1 and the first extremes etc. has provided me and my group with, not only gear but more importantly a lot more understanding on the game mechanics and skill in playing our jobs. When the older content gets, well, old and nerfed, it will lose its progression value to the playerbase as a whole but also to the individual players who haven't beaten it yet. With nerfs, they will lose both the experience of the fight as it was, and most of what it could teach them. This is why I personally find it unfair towards the newer players and those older players who haven't beaten it yet.
When they add a new extreme fight, learning it will be probably much easier for our group than a group that has beaten all the previous ones with the echo. Some of those echo players will just smoothly sail through the nerfed content until they hit a wall, then wait for it to be nerfed before continuing, because they'll always find the new content so much more difficult than what they're used to doing (because they'll always miss those learning experiences).
Schedule limitations and problems finding a static are often used as an argument for nerfs, but they could also be used as an argument against them. At least I, if I wasn't in the lucky position of having a solid static group and having beaten all the current content (outside of Savage which we haven't even started), would hate to miss on the original experiences. Even in this position, I feel like I need to hurry to beat content before it gets nerfed. Yes, you can turn off the echo, but it's just not the same (although we've had non-echo runs in our FC/LS for the newer players who've wished for them and organised them). If you ask me, the ever raising item level is a nerf enough in itself.
In short: Just because some people progress in content slower than others doesn't mean they're not as good players or that they'd need extra nerfs. Clearing content in original difficulty gives players an advantage when facing the next hard content, and clearing everything nerfed will make the next hard content even harder.

the only problem i see with this is it if its nerfed so much and then everybody can clear it and access coil3 it will simply polute the player pool with too many bads which will become very anoying to static leaders trying to replace people when needed. i remember when levi ex came out and you could easily pug it in the first few weeks but then the bads caught up and it became impossible lol.
Cmon, Echo did nothing good, it's up to 20% and still so much struggle at T5 and/or Titan EX...
The only catch-up is, your gear needs not to be as good as before, but you can nerf it to oblivion, bad players won't make it through anyway.
Never a mind was changed on an internet board, no matter how good your arguments are...
Making previous Coil easier (echo buff) may help also people who have already passed it. Players leave the game or their static groups and groups need to find new members. If newly arrived players can quickly get prepared to join the statics, it will be better for all.
It's normal that people who have struggled or are struggling to win something don't like the idea that it will be made easier pretty soon so that other people have it easier than they did. Be it Coil, atmas, relic, Amdapor Keep, Pharos Sirius, whatever. But new people are needed and they have to be able to catch up in a reasonable time.

Seems everyone missed the part where they said they're not nerfing second coil right away. They're leaving it as is come 2.4, monitoring how many "new clears" they get, and then adjusting it accordingly. A nerf to mechanics might not even be needed as having access to i120+ gear will make all 4 turns easier (yes, even Turn 7)
If you remember, first coil was supposed to get 25% echo eventually, however they stopped at 15% for a long time because many people were clearing it and then eventually pushed it up to 20 where it stayed.

All I want is a Duty Finder for Coil... Where you don't need pre-made parties before you enter. Hard for people who have work or other RL activities to form a static. Keep the difficulty, I don't need echo. And if others say it will be hard on PUG since you will get random players every time, then bring it on that's fine. It's better that at least I have tried it than not being able to try it because I can't find a static. At least that what I feel but I am against in making it easier though.

Why do they care though? The content will be irrelevant to the hardcore players when 2.4 releases. Why are they so against making it easier for the people struggling and falling behind. They deserve a chance to catch up.
