I got it to near 5%, but the DPS were not pulling hard enough and enrage wiped us. It is not my inability to do it, but others.
I cannot get into a "weekly clear" party as I still have the myth bonus, and getting a static is too hard for my schedule.
Once the lockout is removed there will be an influx of players (both learning and kill groups) doing second coil, especially turn 9, to get clears and gear up alts. Right now the lockout is restricting the number of capable players trying this content so I think a static group will be less required after 2.4. Also, the gear is going up 10-20 ilvls above current second coil tier and there will be no cap on soldiery/sand which in itself, may have alleviated the dps problem that you mention in your post. Personally I think you should consider trying it post 2.4 before calling for a nerf, the challenge is part of the fun.

You just told me to throw money at it if I cannot get a clear, then say it is stupid to throw money at it to get a clear. Lolwhat.

Also please read my post above yours. I know I can one shot t7 at this point. I have been in about 30 'clear' parties in the last month and a half. It is other people messing up, not me. The 'farm' groups will not take me due to myth bonus. PUGs mess up. Short of quitting my job and other activities to join a dedicated static to meet their schedules, what else can I do?

Fall on your knees and marvel at the glorious, radiant raiders, of course. They're so amazing and special because they have 7 other people who know the fights at a schedule that is convenient for them.

I know how this feels. I was in a static group doing T6. Four weeks go by, and I know the fight like the back of my hand. Other members were still dying to Blighted, Acid Rain and even chains, screwing the party up each time. It is incredibly frustrating to know you can beat something because you have learned the mechanics, but don't get a win because of others who haven't.

I ended up leaving and moving servers. Within a day on the new server, I joined a random Party Finder group and beat it with no issues at all. I also beat T7 within 2 days of getting in and practicing.

The problem isn't that the mechanics are difficult. The problem is that one bad player on your team can trigger a 1-shot mechanic to wipe the entire party. You can have 7 good players and they won't be able to progress because that one bad player always gets the party swallowed by Rafflesia; always petrifies the party; always triggers the wrong tower; always drops a comet too close to another.

Now I know the elitists out there will retort to the effect of 'well find a new member'. Unfortunately that is getting harder and harder to do as more and more people settle into statics . The majority of the time your options for replacing a member are either to poach someone from another static or find a fresh 50 to gear up and teach the fight to which just leads you in a circle.

A few months from now almost no one will even be running second coil and it will be almost impossible to find competent groups for it.

The reason people are still stuck on T5 is because the echo and mechanics changes do nothing to alleviate the articial difficulty created by 1-shot mechanics. T5 was nerfed in name alone considering the thing that kills most parties is twisters and dreadknights which continue to 1-shot regardless of echo or outgearing.

So at the end of the day Coil will always have to be nerfed simply to allow 1 good player to get by with 7 bads... because eventually that 1 good player will have no choice in who he runs the content with due to lack of interest from other players.

Before any elitists disagree with me, please tell us the last time you voluntarily helped another player to run coil content without any expectation of a reward. Exactly.

    You misunderstood me YET again.

I didn't say it was stupid to throw money at something, I simply said that is what you're doing.

The stupid part is "Nerfing Content" because a few players don't spend time or "have time" to work on something. All these excuses about 100 myth message too... You seriously cannot ask a clear group that you got to like 5% or something, or you can ask them to join and tell them you know all the mechanics and you're dedicated to get the win, if you don't perform you can just have them replace you. WHY CANT YOU DO THAT? If you can't do that in-game work, then it really does sound like Subscription money bribery and waving money at people.

LOL... My Static spent 4 hours per week, 4 hours in 1 week! That's NOTHING! And we beat Turn 6 in 2 weeks, beat Turn 7 in 2 weeks, Turn 8 took another 2 weeks of progression. And that is very Average progression, we were a Social/Casual group, not even hardcore AT ALL, we would joke around in Teamspeak all the time and laugh about dumb crap. We Weren't Even Hardcore!!!

Your schedule is SO cramped up that you can't find a static to join that spends 4 hours PER WEEK, dude... Why even subscribe to this game if you can't spend 4 hours per week playing it???

I haven't even cleared T7! But you don't see me joining the "I wants it easy mode cause hardcore is way a head of me." /cry C'mon. Either learn to play the game or go play Candy Crush.
It called having different types of gamers, I don't believe they just want to enter a fight and it one hit your done as people suggesting here I believe and use (I) because it an opinion based on one of many opinions or views is they want a little less mechanic heavy fights, but still gives a decent challenge just not to your standards of what you consider of a challenge perhaps. It is easy to throw around white knight in a forums setting, but also is such a thing is black knighting as I call it also this is just a game after all.

T6 at i110 is a joke since you can skip the entire last phase and just DPS. Getting the person with honey eaten is the hardest part.
Hey im just sayin, we were doin that while not even beein ilvl100 back in the days. Real difficulty in Coils is havin people that are at the same level of adaptation as a 8 men group, mainly.

Mechanics are all about timing just like in any other raid content in any mmo ... and how you can bypass that

Settle down. Bolding every other line and mashing your capslock key is not necessary to get your point across.

Also, I'm sure it's a lot more than 'a few' people who do not have time or the drive to spend months learning coil. As I and many others already said in this thread, MMOs almost always ease old content when new content is added. I'm not arguing whether or not this is a good thing, but Yoshida said that this would be happening before 2.0 was even released. You can argue it until your face turns blue, but nothing is going to change about this.

People have been arguing this approach to MMORPGs for over 10 years. If you don't ease up the difficulty of content, some players become left behind and can never catch up, and then they unsubscribe from the game. New players coming to the game would also have a lot more trouble catching up. Fewer subscriptions = slower content updates, which would be bad for everyone. If you want to hold back less-skilled players, new players, and people with significantly less time to play, there are plenty of other kinds of games out there that make this possible.

Everyone was warned that older content would be made easier with the arrival of new content. You have chosen to subscribe and keep playing anyway. Attacking people here who don't play the game the same way you do accomplishes nothing.
