A lot of what makes coil difficult is just that it's group jump rope. If you have a group with all turns on farm, you can take a friend that has never been there before and teach them the mechanics for all turns in a night or two (especially if they've watched videos a couple of times).

It's different when the entire group is learning the mechanics together, or even just half of the group or something. A static that has played together for a long time will likely pick things up faster than a group that isn't used to communicating or doesn't know each others' individual play styles or whatever.

Back on topic: I'm not sure why anyone is surprised (once again) about easing of content difficulty when new content is released. Almost all MMOs do this. If you're a serious raider, it shouldn't even really matter because you'll be too focused on clearing FCoB in less than two weeks and earning gear that greatly outclasses those benefiting from an easier time in second coil. Plus, I don't know about anyone else here, but I personally have a much better time DF farming tomes in the newer dungeons when the other players are better geared.
