Cash shop confirmed

I really don't understand, it's simple to just not buy the optional items. When they see that isn't working for them they will cut off the cash shop idea entirely.

Dropping your sub does not resolve this particular situation, Not buying the optional stuff does.

This. The correct way to demonstrate against the cash shop is to stay subscribed but never purchase from the cash shop. This way they will know that people still like the game but not the cash shop. If people unsubscribe then it's conflated with many other possible reasons.

Unfortunately I don't have a lot of faith in people to exhibit self control and organization, but a boycott of the cash shop specifically is what we should do if we want it gone.

It's not going to work because it is a win/win situation. 1.) Subscribers are going to stay subscribed. They lose no money. 2.) There will always be someone who will buy from the cash shop. Still SE not losing any money.

Once a cash shop is announced in an mmo, it says forever. Never have I seen an MMO take a cash shop off its service after implementation. If there is such a game, I'd love to know.

We can complain. We can whine. We cannot stop this from happening.

Correct? Maybe... but will it do any good? The whales will more than make up for people who do not purchase from the cash shop. Once the cash shop is implemented, I doubt it will ever be removed.
