Nope, I was soloing a R20 vs. some Foraging Doe's. They hurt but they give good SP, even at 1 star.Genuinely curious.. I posted a few pages back doing R20 leves as 24 THM and receiving 65-75~ sp per kill with GF on, on 1 and 2 star difficulties. Were you soloing a 5 star for that kind of SP, and did you have GF on?
As for the Behest debate? Personally I was getting 9-11k SP per run pre-patch at Camp Horizon; it dropped to 5-8k per run after fatigue started setting in. Now for the same exact run (at a popular camp) I get like 2500~.
So it occurs to me that with this update, it seems like the fatigue system has been "removed" in that it no longer visibly shows: we're all perma-stuck at 75-80% fatigue now.
I see claims of good SP; I personally haven't seen it, and I don't think I'm somehow initiating my leves incorrectly or incorrectly applying my GF to obtain my 70 SP/Kill.
Incoming tl;dr: So we need to solo 5 stars now?
Admittedly, I do suck at soloing in this game. I probably fit the casual player bill more than I'd like to admit lol. I was a keen soloer in FFXI, but that system just made a lot more sense to me. Solo chaining Goblin Smithy's in Yuhtunga as 27 BLU was awesome exp (if they blew up, otherwise the fights were hard as hell). And, immediately upon disembarking the airship to Kazham on whatever level 25 job I was on (including WHM and DRK), I solod an IT Mandragora. It was like my measuring bar back then. All 20 jobs have solo felled a Yuhtunga Mandragora at level 25. But this game is something else for me; haven't gotten into that swing yet or w/e.
(Deep breath) Point of overly long anecdote being: I wouldn't expect anyone in FFXI to have to solo IT mandies on any of their lvl 25 jobs; that was a personal bar I set for myself. And in FFXIV, if people are soloing 5 stars at their recommended level, there's something wrong about needing to fighting multiple mobs at a time that are 10 levels higher than you by yourself to positive SP gains, and that certainly doesn't fit the "casual player" description.
