    The point is that is has to be game impacting. Which monk would want to waste a gcd and use 1LM and potentially lose dps when its not going to make a difference to the final outcome? Take ADS for example, when coil1 was still relevant, it was imperative to silence ADS if not the raid wide paralysis would most likely wipe you. Now with the echo, hardly anyone even bothers since the group still downs ADS anyway.

    I get that, but SE has made it clear that they don't want duty finder groups to be challenged by unique abilities. Since you can't guarantee your party composition in the duty finder, a wipe inducing ability that had to be silenced in a light party could get out of hand with, say, drg, blm, whm, war. Hence the reason why turn 2 HV was nerfed once the duty finder was introduced to it. If there's a clear cut solution to that problem, then there shouldn't be any reason to not introduce more stringent mechanics, but until then, I feel as though we shouldn't hold our breath.
