Though I agree with what you mean, I have a quibble about your word choice in describing it. I'd change "we're already getting them for free" to "we're already getting them in exchange for the subscription money we're paying".
When LOTRO went F2P (and ever since then), we heard this a lot. People keep trying to defend the cash shop based on the fact that we can get a lot of things there that we didn't have before. They ignore the fact that before the cash shop was added, features were being added on a regular basis and everyone had access to them. After the cash shop was added, every new feature and nearly every new item has a separate price tag attached, even for those still paying a subscription. We stopped getting anything new added to the base game itself.
