Check back and the next part of the post is:

When I use duty finder (barely ever because I am stubbourn in how I like to play) I will accept that I need to hurry it up, skip content and at least try to use the proven strategy as advised by other players.
So what I'm trying to say is that I certainly don't act like that in the duty finder, though if I was selfish I would just play like I wanted to like that. The point I was trying to make was to show some people how selfish they sound to me when they expect me to have researched every part of a fight, not make the same mistakes more than twice (i mean I'm trying my best OK), and to simply presume that it's a speed run or no cutscenes run. I compromise for the group in duty finder and I use party finder or FC or friends to play just how I like. I think most players on the duty finder are expecting fast runs and not compromising for the slower or new players at all (especially at endgame), and because they are bullies about it it has become the norm because everyone will conform to not get told off by the bully. I want players to compromise on the duty finder with me because neither is more important. If you can't compromise don't use the duty finder (like I myself have done so I can enjoy slow runs with other that want to). It's hard to get a party together that want the same as you (especially if you want to slow down and explore), but that's what I do, and not act like I did in that first paragraph.

It's cool, I assumed by your opening ("I'm a bad player!") that you we being sarcastic. I didn't really think you played with that much of a self entitled attitude. I got the point you were trying to make, I just felt it was good opportunity to use that to make another point about people from both camps respecting each others play styles.

Thanks a lot about this thread. I was thinking I should take my first duty finder but decided to find some information first. After reading this through I understand that better stop and return to my other mmo's. There are anyway good players inside. Have a nice day.

a bad player is not one who dies constantly, doesn't know their rotation, or has no idea what they are doing.

a bad player is one who refuses to listen and learn.

    *cough*

When it comes to dungeons(using duty finder) i have never ran into a group of people who despite being inexperienced(be it in gear, or just the encounter) that didn't respond well to explanation of whats going on/what to do. I have ran into people who are obnoxious just for the sake of it, but that's another story.

As far as 8 man stuff go(primals etc) if you don't want to chance getting "bad" players - easy! don't go into duty finder or make a group with people you don't know.

The only point where you get to be frustrated at something is in CT(because no full premades atm), even then you shouldn't harass other people.

If you're randomly put together in a group with other people, remember they also didn't choose to be grouped with you and being rude and elitist to them, just because they don't know how to do x or y, doesn't make you better than them - it just makes you an asshole(not targeting anyone btw ).

Realize that this is not your game - it's everyone's game.

The low level dungeons are ridiculously easy. How can one become the thing known as "bad?"

It's the high level stuff that tends to be a bit of a challenge, like Titan HM to get relic via DF, heh.

A lot of them are "veteran" players, who belittle new players, refuse to help newbies, ragequit when told how to do something better or on the first wipe in difficult content, or think they're really good although they've been carried through most duties and then blame it on other players when they fail in instances where they're not being carried in when they're—in reality—much worse than they think.

A lot of them are geared absurdly well, have been playing for a while and have multiple jobs geared up, maybe looked up on reddit what a job's "perfect rotation" and the single only BiS gear supposedly was, and mistakenly think they are godly.

Basically, they are noobs, which sets them apart from the newbs.

The latter have potential to become great players, the former are doomed to perpetual failure and ridiculousness. They are legion, and they are in literally every game out there.

Last run tank was cursing the DPS just because he did one freaking mistake, then he tried to explain the mechanic but using caps lock and calling him stupid and idiot at the same time, he didn't even mark targets and complained about not killing a specific mob during trash fights.

That's the kind of people i deal almost every dungeon run. Like someone said in another thread (or was this one? I don't remember all 16 pages) you're not demanded to teach people but your help is appreciated. However if you don't have the patience then don't bother, leave that to another person or let him learn the hard way, it's better than dealing with rude teaching.

It is usually the rude elitist who wants to force speedruns on people that are the problem. And they they want to do it on the duty finder and make problems for all the other players.

Thing is getting better should be a natural progression, isn't the whole point to play a game to be good at it ?
