the thing is they aren't different things.

unless you wanna get techincal and say one is your character and one is your house,in the end you work hard to make your character build it and get attached.

same goes for your house you get the money you buy the land you buy a house you put things in it and you get attached,the only you you're saying is different is resource usage characters use less so it's not ok to get rid of them but since housing takes up more it's ok.

no it's not. if the game developers made it so only so many characters could be made in total and if a character wasn't used in a certain amount of time it would be a problem but since it's just a house it's ok?

in the end to make it seem reasonable you will use resource usage as a excuse for them to do this.
