Your describing the free company housing as YOUR house. It is not YOURS its the companies. Its shared by MORE THAN 1 person. Therefore, having at least 1 person log in is fair

it's not fair because you will take it in the first place you shouldn't have to take the house.

resources isn't an excuse for taking someones stuff in game, why put something in the game and say it's open for any fc that can buy it and you will add more wards if you don't have the resources for all those fc's or more wards.

Please, lets get technical because you're trying to compare apples to oranges here. Hell you're trying to compare apples to rocks.

You cannot compare a character to a house. There is a distinct finite limit to how many houses can be built in a server. Even if SE adds in a half dozen new wards the number of houses that can be built is still finite and if you leave abandoned houses where they are and new houses are built given time those half dozen new wards will be filled and people will be begging for another half dozen to be added. There is not a distinct finite limit to how many characters there can be in the game. The upper bound is limited only by SE's server space which can be increased without needing to make any additions to the game structure like when adding new wards.

From reading the thread, I think the core of the problem is that they added FC housing first. By not putting in personal housing people viewed the FC housing as Personal housing.

Well, at least the person arguing with you here on it isn't trying to dig into the most tenuous string of logic they can muster. I just had someone bring Contra up as a counter example as to why people can't do coil turn 6-9 without completing turn 5.

Which is one of the reasons there was an explosion of 1-10 person FCs that followed.

this isn't about not being able to enter the house. it's about taking something from a player.

in no situation should you take something from a player because they weren't actively playing. be it housing, characters or anything else.

server resources have nothing to do with the argument other then telling people they should suck it up.

And if its not just you in the FC atm then why does it matter if YOU cant log in for 35 days...can the other people not log in as well?.

Two players are in my FC atm( 3 with my ALT), It was seven. The other Five took a break after 2.1 and four are now playing ESO. The other said he was planning on coming back when school gets out. The thing is my FC are all Family and IRL friends. We all live in the same town. When I talk of natural disasters, Its examples of what could stop someone from being unable to play. Last winter was horrible, We went almost a week without power because of a snow storm, The town I live in is small and it effected a lot of people. When I lived in Florida we had plenty of hurricanes, When hurricane Ivan hit back in 2004 my mom went over a month without power. Luckily for me I had my own place and it wasn't but a few days with out power. There are lots of things people cannot control. If someone owns a FC house and chooses not to do anything with it and they lose it then the fault is their own. The point is there are many thing that could happen to prevent someone from logging on, Even if they are willing to pay or already subbed.

A lot of people also don't understand that a lot of the small Free Companies are made up of close friends and family. I have some friends back home in Florida that are on Adamantoise and they have a small FC as well. Now I understand that if you have an FC made up of 20, 100, 200 players chances of you losing a FC house are very slim. Even for a small FC the chances are still pretty slim, but there is that chance that people who want to keep it can lose it. When you have these small group of close friends/family they like to do stuff together. Why didn't I quit playing when they left? Because I quit playing FFXI last year to play this game, So I'm going to stick it out and play. I just don't like the way SE is handling this. I don't disagree with them wanting to remove a vacant house. It should just be more friendly.

I shouldn't be in danger of losing something that I worked hard on. Just because in the future I may want to take a break for a few weeks/ months. Anyone every level a FC from half of Rank 1 to Rank 7 solo? Its not fun. But worth it in the end. And that is one reason why I will never give up my FC.

once a house is bought, be it fc or personal it should be that persons or fc's forever even if it dies and everyone in it stops playing. if they wanna log on in 5 years that house should still be there waiting for them.
