+1I wish they'd add more depth to the Relic/Zodiac story. I feel like once you get your base Relic the whole semblance of it being a legendary weapon is tossed out the window.
Where is the soul and spirit of the Warrior that wields Bravura? What makes it such a unique and powerful axe? As far as it goes - the fact that you carry around these weapons should imply that they have lore and story tied to them, and yet the upgrades have been nothing but tome gathering and now FATE Atma farming - why? Do you not know how to make an interesting and compelling story about these weapons? It feels you were not keeping the player in mind when you developed this newest leg of the quest - which is disheartening.

Now that's thinking about immersion and quality content.
Btw, I am kinda happy with the rest of the patch, new amdapor is awesome and king mog ex it's just lovely <3
Kupò ♥
Oh boy, RNG is gonna be so fun. Gonna rub it in people's faces when someone manages to get 12 atma in an hour becuz lolrng while someone else who could be doing at least 10x the work still not see a single atma drop. But hey, lets forget about all that because everyone's lucky and RNG is on your side... right?
With no cap for Mythology, you can get 2000 by just running dungeons. Let's go for sake of argument that you only want to run duties per day:It is 121500 mythology for all the relics.
Given I want to make only 1 Relic, it would require 4 months playing 14 hours every week (average player with a job or school), doing ONLY mithology farm and spending them ONLY for relic (boring). And it's 3 years for all the Relics.
Around 200 Duty Roulettes each weapon. And you can't even speedrun. Also since you can do DR once every day, the number of dungeons required is probably way higher.
Well, it could be fine if it was the best weapon in the game, but it's 15 levels under the High Allagan one (not even 5 like Allagan-Zenith, but 15), it's not even the second best weapon. Not to mention it's the same ilv as Extreme Leviathan weapons that are way easier to get.
The ilv for this kind of farm is just wrong. You can get stronger weapons with way less effort and time. Just a little bit of luck. They just want RNG to be mainstream and tokens to become useless.
Also level cap 60 coming in 1 year at best. Not bothering with this patch at all, it's just a boring timesing before the expansion, like it was with Darklight gear and Relic quest in 1.0. Please look forward to use all this stuff for vanity.
Obvious to me that they just want us to keep paying for doing the same content over and over, so we pay more subscription time in order to get useless stuff. Not stupid enough to do it. I'm going to do the new content and then uninstall the game and unsubscribe til the next patch that will have ilv 200, or maybe 215 from Amdapor Keep.
Enjoy
300 bonus for main story, 100 bonus for low level. 400 right off the bat. You also will get around 90-100 per High Level because obviously you want the Soldiary ones too. So let's round up 500 in a day.
In five days, you have rounded up 2500 Mythology tomes.
In one month, you've rounded up 10000 Mythology, which means you will probably be done your Relic weapon in six weeks if you ONLY decide to do a five day a week, roulette run. I've excluded other things that have give you Mythology such as the Hard Mode or Maps or whatever have you. So. Six weeks, you've got it. In 14 and a half hours a week, and with runs that last around an hour or two max with what I listed, it's entirely feasible on your schedule to do it.
Furthermore, if you really don't want to do that path, S-E has actually give you other paths. As you noted, you can go do Extreme Leviathan if you absolutely want better stats as you stated, yourself, that it's better anyway.
NOTHING forces you to do this progression. S-E gave you other paths. You're complaining to complain and it's ridiculous.
Math'ed.
All fates and yes level sync ones that remove your Shield/Sword oath so you have to put it back on off on off.
No disrespect to your achievements. But many called downing Titan a snooze fest even back then.. There is just no winning with people. But fear not it's optional. It would have been different if they had added 12 new fates, related to Zodiac as the quest says (something like cancer in costa del sol etc.).
What they have actually done is trying to repopulate some areas, along with helping low level character completing fates.
Now, I wonder how could any person think this "Alma quest" it's difficult. It's not. It's long, it's boring and it's old content.
And nope, you're not hardcore if you collect all of the pieces, you're just patient and have plenty of time.
Now, the previous relic quest really gave you the idea of having earned it (I remember the joy when I first killed titan HM, after TONS of wipe and about 3 weeks of tries). I would have preferred something like that or new fates as said before.
Except the MVPs spawned way less often and you weren't competing with a party of 8 that needs/greeds, rather than a mass of people camping a single map for inane amounts of time. For the .01% drop :P This game doesn't have anything nearly as mindlessly time-wasting, in my opinion. Especially now that you can get as much loot a week from raids! You could run the instance again if you want to but you wouldn't be so lucky with an mvp![]()
