not sure if it has to be won. with the zergfest that fates have again become, i doubt that will be a problem. yes, you HAVE to have the zenith equipped.Quick question for those who have been doing the fates:
Do you have to actually Win the fate in order to get the Atma that you've seen? Or you can you just participate without winning it? Say for example if you came upon a fate that had 2 minutes left, and you couldn't quite kill whatever it was fast enough, would you still be able to get the Atma?
Also this has to be done WITH your Relic+1 Weapon equipped correct?
Funny and sad at the same time to watch gamblers waste away when the RNG gods abandon them. Every last one of them, a special snowflake 'destined' to be the lucky one, to make the big take, to 'get what's coming' after failing for so long.
Meanwhile. I'll just take the casual stab now and again, play the dollar lotto once or twice a week, and let the world take care of itself. I'm not entitled to win, but I won't deny myself the opportunity either. If you're stressing, you're doing it wrong.
Attitude is half the game. If you can't get over yourself, you're not at the top.
I figured as much with people just jumping into any random fate they find, but in the off chance that you find yourself alone with a fate with very little time left on it was just curious if you could get Atma by participating but not winning/completing the fate. Which leads to another question, has anyone noticed a difference in Bronze, Silver, and Gold ratings when it comes to obtaining Atma?
What I mean is, have you only gotten Atma by getting Gold, or has anyone noticed getting Atma from a Bronze or Silver Rating?
It's not that I forget, it's just that I don't care.
I like to think of FATEs as just dependable HNMs.
I wish they'd add more depth to the Relic/Zodiac story. I feel like once you get your base Relic the whole semblance of it being a legendary weapon is tossed out the window.
Where is the soul and spirit of the Warrior that wields Bravura? What makes it such a unique and powerful axe? As far as it goes - the fact that you carry around these weapons should imply that they have lore and story tied to them, and yet the upgrades have been nothing but tome gathering and now FATE Atma farming - why? Do you not know how to make an interesting and compelling story about these weapons? It feels you were not keeping the player in mind when you developed this newest leg of the quest - which is disheartening.
I could care less about having to subject myself to tedium and brainless content if the quests involved had an inkling of story or even a shred of excitement to maintain long term interest in the weapon I'm wielding. As it is - players might as well grind out Soldiery tomes for 3 weeks and them nab the rest of the necessary items and make a Masterworks (it's got better stats).
Honestly of everything I've experienced in Through the Maelstrom so far this is the only thing I've found remotely disappointing.
Thanks for putting this up. Quick re fence guide much appreciated.
I love the idea for this - however there is something wrong with the drops. I was in a party and did just over 50 fates, I received o drops while another in our party received 3 in the same time frame. :/
make sure you have your zenith equipped(and off-hand if applicable). other that that, its classic RNG =/
