Does it have to be "Challenging"? In my eyes, they have take one step closer towards getting people into the open world.how people can not understand that repetitive doesnt mean challenging? People asked for challenging things, not repetitive easy content.
What people are complaining about is that this quest is just time sinking with 0 challenge. There is a huge difference when the time sink comes from spamming something that is easy instead coming from a challenging fight or fights or anything else.
This isn't even challenge, it's just tedium. Luck-based tedium, to make it even worse.lol complained game to easy now we get something challenging to do now they want to take it back hahah.
People on this game don't seem to like challenging content to get gear/ upgrades. The 'A Relic Reborn' quest is mostly designed that way and everyone complains that it's too short and everyone eventually gets a relic (especially since you can carry people once you overgear the fights). What kind of content could they possibly design to take a long time because it's challenging (not a blatant time sink) while still being possible to clear? Without adding TONS of new fights there's just no way to do it, and even so, if those fights didn't keep most people struggling for weeks people would say it's too easy and can be done in 15 minutes with your eyes closed.
It is 121500 mythology for all the relics.
Given I want to make only 1 Relic, it would require 4 months playing 14 hours every week (average player with a job or school), doing ONLY mithology farm and spending them ONLY for relic (boring). And it's 3 years for all the Relics.
Around 200 Duty Roulettes each weapon. And you can't even speedrun. Also since you can do DR once every day, the number of dungeons required is probably way higher.
Well, it could be fine if it was the best weapon in the game, but it's 15 levels under the High Allagan one (not even 5 like Allagan-Zenith, but 15), it's not even the second best weapon. Not to mention it's the same ilv as Extreme Leviathan weapons that are way easier to get.
The ilv for this kind of farm is just wrong. You can get stronger weapons with way less effort and time. Just a little bit of luck. They just want RNG to be mainstream and tokens to become useless.
Also level cap 60 coming in 1 year at best. Not bothering with this patch at all, it's just a boring timesing before the expansion, like it was with Darklight gear and Relic quest in 1.0. Please look forward to use all this stuff for vanity.
Obvious to me that they just want us to keep paying for doing the same content over and over, so we pay more subscription time in order to get useless stuff. Not stupid enough to do it. I'm going to do the new content and then uninstall the game and unsubscribe til the next patch that will have ilv 200, or maybe 215 from Amdapor Keep.

SE, Please explain to me how a NEW player/alt is suppose to get Atma Relic in 3weeks+ from now? basically if you don't grind relic NOW, you will be stuck. Nobody is going to help you in 3+ weeks from now as less players will be grinding and you are basically lockout because of the FATE RNG design. Even a large FC will be hardpress to mindlessly grind fates for 1 new member that needs Relic. Terrible design.


While I'm not a fan of grinding, this is honestly not so bad from what I gather (haven't done any of the stuff yet). I'd rather wait for a FATE to pop and be guaranteed access to it than some of the stuff FFXI had us do. Sure it's not a 100% gain from the FATE, but it's certainly more appealing to me than collecting like 50 items from a boss fight that doesn't guarantee the drop while competing with members in your party for the same item, and then in order to upgrade it to the best version have to grind 1500 of an item followed by 3000 of another.
Not that what we got in FFXIV isn't a grind, it certainly is, just not nearly as bad as it could have been. And just drawing comparisons to another MMO that had a big grind for good weapons.


Shhhh, there there, it's not the best wep in the game ATM don't worry there are alternatives.
Plus I can assure you they will dumb it down later, so fix those jimmies.
Don't worry, they'll raise the chances of receiving the items, causing the board to once again throw a tantrum because "SE is just handling out Zodiacs now!!! It'a only been 6 months!!!"..............


Most likely scenario with this problem you mention when it does happen the difficulty of those fates will be lower like others have been depending on how many participates etc.
