    and thats with gear aside

and again, as always, it promotes the ability to choose how you want to do it
if you give a child the choice to go to school or play all day and eat chocolate... what do you think our society will be like by now? Its exactly the same about mmos.

if they want it easy they will take it easy

if they want a challenge they can have their challenge

they get what they want, not what they are forced to have that way

That's not how the world works.

People choose to do things the harder way because it leads to greater rewards. It's all about risk vs. reward and being rewarded for taking more risk - a fundamental concept not just in video games but in life in general.

In the case of no level caps, the reward is the same whether you play a R30 dungeon as a rank 30 or a rank 50 character, but the risk is vastly different in either case.

no, people do what they do because they want to do it

a child doesnt do what it wants because of the rewards, it does what it wants cuz its fun and its what it wants to do

if a player wants a challenge, they will go for it regardless of reward
if they want a reward, they will go through what they have to for said reward
if they want easy mode, they will do what they can to make it easy

but add in someone telling them "you must do it how i want" and that same person will not like it one bit
they want things their way, they dont wanna be told how to do it

what you are doing, is telling people how they should do things, not giving them options
