I think if the dungeons are put in to be an additional source for SP that it doesn't matter if they are capped or not. r50s will be more inclined to run the dungeons at appropriate levels so they can gain the SP on jobs that need it.Capped, Yes please. But ... we don't really know what exactly is coming up and what these dungeons will be like nor what SE intends them to have for a function. If these dungeons are meant to replace part of the SP we gain through leves, cap would be kinda pointless... as already suggested by prior posts maybe level sync in that case ?
I voted for capped because I remember how much fun I used to have running through capped missions, BCNM, COP and mostly because of how boring COP got once it was uncapped. This is of course a personal preference which may change once the update is out and we discover that SE has had a totally different idea of what the function of Toto-Rak and Dzemael should be ...


Yeah leve, which is another thing that promotes skillless gameplay, do we want to make this effortless and make more ways for people to hit 50 without any skill of the class. Its so sad to see many ppl who hit 50s dont even know some of the skills they have and what they used for. Ex. "Decoy? Archer gets that!? and it blocks a magic spell directed at you!?", of ocurse, players gonna have different skill level, but things such as leve and these gonna promote bad gameplay and bad players in the future which other players may or may not have to team up with, also might promote elitism.

I learned how to play my class by leveling it to r50. I will learn how to play my class and my job by running the r50 dungeon. I don't need a r30 dungeon and if it is capped I will most likely ignore it.As of June/23/2011, 9:55am EST.

i'm glad majority still understands the problem and how it can affect the game.
UNCAP > players getting high level without understanding how to play their classes(spoonfed) > lowers overall skill of the population. Players will take the easy way if its available, make it unavailable!

I would like dungeon caps if they scale properly. So if you are Rank 50 entering, and the max is 25 then your Rank and gear scales down. That way you can revisit dungeons at any time, without loosing the challenge. But some people like getting really OP and farming like mo-fo's so I'm sure that will be the way it goes...



Even with a dungeon cap, people could still do that on open-world mobs, and that would be totally fine.

farming what untradeable gear, or mats. Should someone not be able to farm mats from all areas of the game. or should there be a section quarantined off for crafters to get there mats. what could a rank 50 possible get by taking advantage of a rank 25 dungeon. dont get all pissy either, just elaborate.I would like dungeon caps if they scale properly. A rank 50 character also has other classes in the rank 25 range. He is then able to use his rank 50 character to easily farm items for his rank 25 classes. Being able to obtain the best items for any given rank range too easily ruins game balance.

So I dont know if anyone mentioned this but if someone did I apologize. What about a level sync cap for those who are too high rank. That way they can enjoy a challenge in the lower level dungeon/raid with other players. Opinions? I'm still annoyed with why they don't have 8 man Rank30 dungeon.. I swear I don't get SE sometimes.. Is this not an MMO where you want to meet/play with many people?!
