10 gil says the Gilgamesh fight will be a FATE completely ruining any chance for a real 1v1 or 2v2 fight with him and his doggie.
Knowing how these things tend to play out, Hildibrand will don his Savior of Eorzea gear and help the player character. While I would like to one-on-one Gilgamesh, that might give way to Hildi fighting Gilgamesh and the player character fighting Enkidu.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
Not really - in Dissidia Duodecium assists only showed up briefly, did one attack, then disappeared. They were little more than a glorified summon spell of sorts.
And yes, I fully expect SE to include my handle/character's namesake in this - I used to go hunting the Enkidu mob in FFXI simply for that very reason.![]()
Now let us talk about the upcoming clash on the big bridge once again.
I will be very disappointed if the Gilgamesh fight is just a fate. :<
Frankly I don't care how the fight is done (as long as you don't need ilvl 90 to do it). All I care is that the music is EPIC and the dialogue is funny.
